Items You Will Need:
Shoebox
Dish Detergent
Hand Brush
Baking Soda
Step 1: Fill Your Container with Hot Soapy Water
You will need something to put your Tevas in to soak. I recommend a shoebox, but if you do not have one available to use, the sink or bathtub could do just as well. Fill the container up with hot and soapy water. I suggest dish washing liquid.
Step 2: Submerge Your Tevas in Hot Soapy Water
Place your Tevas with the straps down into the container. You will want to make sure the straps are all the way in the water.
Step 3: Contemplate Life (Wait an Hour)
This is the easiest part. You don’t have to do anything at all. Or you can do anything you want.
Step 4: Scrub, Wash, and Rinse
This time you’ll want to put some elbow grease into it. The dirt should be ready to come off but its going to need your help.
Step 5: Add Baking Soda, Let Set, Scrub, and Rinse
This is important to get the stink out of the sandals. Now the soap might have helped with that, but the baking soda is going to finish the job.
Step 6: Let the Tevas sun dry outside.
Sunlight, or more specifically, UV rays kill mold, bacteria, and viruses. This is a perfect finish to a job well done. The sun will also dry them wet things up.
Now, go out and get them dirty again!
