Lmao Yeah I can never do this type of filming. Going ahead. Setting up your camera. Walking back and getting into frames for the shot. Then going back to get the camera and repeat. That takes too much energy and time for me. Especially on a incline..lol. But I do appreciate those that can do it.
I'll never forget being there when I was young a teenager it's as far down under the ground as the empire State building if I remember correctly there was 2/3 of their way drilling down towards a cave that was supposed to be going through the mountain and that is when they hit Ruby falls by mistake the further of they went into the cave the higher the ceiling Got that plays fascinated me it was beautiful 😍
Are you there? lol. Thank you for the video. I went there but ran out of time. I will return with two friends and hike several miles including the Rainbow Falls, Edwards Point and Julia Falls Overlook. We will do other falls afterwards as well. That climb is my kind of adventure. Going solo is also my thing as well. This video was posted back in May, 2022. It is around the same season, we will be going in two weeks.
We love Alamere Falls and Point Reyes generally. You visited at a great time. We've never seen the falls waterwheeling like you showed. By the way, the "acorn cap" you showed near the beginning was from the eucalyptus trees that you were under at the time.
Nice choice of Twin Arches Loop in Big South Fork. It’s my favorite too. I would have had to mention Charit Creek Lodge though. It’s a little piece of heaven nestled in a gorgeous little valley. Not complaining about your choices though!
Respect man, thats a tough trail to do in one day. Collims loop is great but you got 6+ miles of the same as south rim trail the other part going down hill is the best spot in the whole park in my opinion. Glad to see yall had. Carrier for garth he was a trooper! Yall got the supriem package for those trails! The snake, the jet, the cabin, the long grind back out. Great video!
Thanks for watching! Definitely wore us out! This trail was exceptional, but all the things that happened made it really memorable. I love the Savage Gulf. I can't wait to return and finally complete Collins Loop. The funny thing about Garth is that he has seen more and hiked more than most humans 😂
Thanks for watching! Some was filming, some was hanging out at the waterfall, some was exploring another trail... didn't put that part on here. You could do this quicker or longer than me... just depending 🤙
Doesn't the graffiti make you sick? I only see it in Appalachia and it drives me crazy. I don't get it, if you love a place why would you destroy it? It you hate a place so much that you insist on destroying it JUST DONT GO! Been up there many times, there are certainly better overlooks but the adventure involved in getting there makes it top notch.
You will never see anything like it in Tennessee. These waterfalls are really unique. I highly recommend going after a big rain so you can get the full effect. The craziest thing is these waterfalls drop into a cave system at the base. So you just see the water pool. Virgin falls actually comes out of a cave as well.
My first time at the stone door, a fawn meet me at the ranger station. Wasn't afraid of people and my scouts feed it cheezits. It followed us as we started our hike, but as we descended into the canyon it left. Great day hiking and seeing the stone door.
How awesome! I would have loved that experience. Thinking about it, I've not seen a lot of deer in the Savage Gulf considering all the times I've been. Hopefully I will get to return soon and hike the Collins Loop overnight!
Thanks for taking us along on the hike. This might be asking a bit much, but do you remember the time and date when you were at the brink of Lower Piney Falls? Thanks.
I would have to search quite a bit to find the exact date and time I went. I'm pretty sure it was around mid May 2023. I also think it was before noon. Hope this helps!
@@floralshirtrichard Thanks for responding. We're asking because we noticed that at the 24 minute mark a rainbow appears in the waterfall's mist and we were just wondering about when and where we could photograph rainbows in this waterfall.
@@richardandrobertrobinsonth4763 Oh wow! I did not even realize that. How awesome. You will have to let me know if you successfully film the rainbow! There are quite a few waterfalls called rainbow falls, and all of those are known to showcase rainbows in the right conditions.
Hi! Thank you so much for the video. I plan to go visit Gatlinburg. Do you suggest this aquarium as a must visit place? Is Ripley's Haunted house and mirror maze worth?
I think this is a really good aquarium, although it's quite short. The best part are the penguins! I'm not quite sure the haunted house or mirror maze are must sees but they are fun to visit. When I go I do a lot of hiking, I play pinball near the space needle. The Loco Burro has a rooftop bar i highly recommend. Riding the sky lift is fun. Ober Gatlinburg is a really cool place to visit as well. Hope this helps!
