How often do you wash your kits? Just curious. I've found that I almost never have to actually *wash* mine because I rinse them very thoroughly in the shower immediately following every ride. Then I hang 'em to dry. By the next morning they are totally dry and like new. Gloves need to be washed about once per week, but jerseys and bibs can go months at a time with just being rinsed daily.
RiPE Technologies That's an interesting approach. If I was travelling I may try that, but typically I was mine after each ride. If commuting to work I will wear the kit to work, change clothes for work, then wear the kit home, then it goes in the laundry.
The most environmentally friendly type. I usually use about 1/2 the recommended amount because I don't like to have the detergent residue next to my skin.
Wade Harris Lucky you. I've ruined several pair of shorts. The elastic falls apart after a while, so I don't dry them any longer. Plus, the air is so dry here in So Calif that the shorts air dry quickly -- even indoors.
