If you think it takes too long to wash your fruits and vegetables all at one time, I'm here to show you it can be done quickly and efficiently. Today I washed all my produce for the month and filmed it by myself in 45 minutes from start to finish. While it dries, I'm going to go run some errands and it will be dry and ready for me to put away when I get home. Now I have clean, ready-to-eat, fresh produce that won't get moldy before we eat it. 👏👏👏

How can some people not enjoy fresh produce when it looks that colorful. Been enjoying all your videos. Keep up the good work. Also, you are a good person for going to take care of your Granny.

It seems so intimidating and daunting when it’s all in front of you but you made it look so quick and easy. If you just make it a habit and get it done as soon as you get home it’s not as bad which I’ve come to find out lol Although I still have a bad habit of leaving stuff out and then the kids demolishing it before I can even put it away 😂

Once you start it really isn't that hard but I do know the feeling of it feeling overwhelming. It truly isn't once you make it a habit.

I so appreciate knowing all this information I throw away so much produce. In fact, I don’t buy berries very often because they go bad. It just seems like overnight. So I’m doing on my produce like this from now on. I was wondering if I have something messed up on my end because I just had a little bit in the middle instead of full picture
@TheCrossLegacy
@TheCrossLegacy Год назад
The picture is smaller because I recorded it quickly on my phone instead of using a tripod and camera set up for youtube. Normally we set up the videos horizontal so they take up more of the screen. This wasn't a planned video just I was doing something in the kitchen quick and thought the tips would be helpful.

Thank you so much for the video. I was wondering if you use the 5% vinegar for all fruits and veggies? also, just wondering if you buy all organic? All of this non -gmo, non organic, identically modified stuff is driving me crazy.:):):) What's your thoughts ? Thank you so much.
@TheCrossLegacy
@TheCrossLegacy Год назад
For the veggies I wash in vinegar it's always 5%. I buy mostly organic as much as possible. For a breakdown to all of the produce washing instructions check out our book series thecrosslegacy.com/book/

Hi amy after I soak my avacados for 2 minitues in vinegar, and then wash the avacados can I use a produce brush to scrub them or do I just you my hand to clean them? do i even need a produce brush to scrub my fruits and veggetables?
@TheCrossLegacy
@TheCrossLegacy Месяц назад
Hi, I don't use a produce brush on my produce, just wash and sometimes rinse if the water is very dirty. I only would on something like potatoes or some other root vegetables if it is really necessary. In this video I show myself washing several things in a short time if you want a better idea of my process: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VmRtK4CVQ20.html

I’m trying to watch your channels but all of them I’ve watched are narrow videos like shorts but a good length so I know they have to be good. But my trouble is I’m claustrophobic and it’s hard to stay with it, I need this good information

Hi when you look at my channel if you look for videos that were filmed in the last year 95% are horizontal now. The videos from our first year are the ones that were filmed on my phone are vertical. With more than 300 videos now on youtube there should be plenty that you will enjoy.

Hi. Is it just plain water you use? Also why do you wash mangoes and avocados that I assume you are going to peel anyway? Thanks
@TheCrossLegacy
@TheCrossLegacy Год назад
I use water and distilled 5% white vinegar which kills off the mold spores, e. coli, listeria and any other harmful pathogens. But cleaning the skins you are not cutting your knife across pathogens and into the flesh of the fruit. Plus it helps them last longer.

Question; Why do you use that frame for video taping your videos instead of a full frame so we could see everything instead of just a sliver of what you're recording I don't understand that I've never understood people that videotape like that but I found you from another young ladies RU-vid channel and at the farmhouse Life and I've learned a lot from watching you 2 on that and then I plugged into yours but just wondering why I don't understand it never have if you could do a full frame instead of just a sliver of a frame it would be fantastic but I've already learned so much from watching you this morning thank you for doing what you do because you're teaching me a lot and I'm turning 65 live alone and it's true I've wasted way too much on my produce because I'm not able to eat it fast enough being alone and now that I know the hack of how to preserve it and the vinegar and water will save me thousands of dollars a year so thank you very much for what you do God bless you and also, I know how it feels to be in Pain in your joints as well as My Back from a Car Accident in 2000 @ the young She of 41.. I will be passing this Info. To My Daughter & Daughter-in-law as well so Thank You & God Bless❤👌🤲🙏🙋🏻‍♀️

Hi, when I first started doing videos it was because I was posting them on Instagram and doing lives on Instagram. We had went viral over there. It wasn't until months later we started moving those videos over here to youtube. There are 300 new videos that are filmed horizontal now, if you look at the dates from this last year. I hope you find content you enjoy. ❤️
