How To Water A Phalaenopsis Orchid The Right Way

Phalaenopsis Orchids or Moth orchids should only be watered using the bottom watering method.
Never let your Phalaenopsis Orchid sit in water for too long. Remove the Moth Orchid after 30 minutes from the water.
Water about one a week and watch the roots of your orchid.
If the Phalaenopsis Orchid roots are bright green and plump they are healthy.
Orchid roots that are dried out will be brittle and a pale grey to white.
The best way to know if your orchid needs water is to check the leaves. If they are a healthy green and plumb the orchid is well watered.
If the Phalaenopsis Orchid leaves are thin and finicky it needs a watering.
What is the best water for a Phalaenopsis Orchid?
The best water is rainwater, reverse osmosis water, or distilled water. However, you can also use tap water. I recommend letting tap water sit for 24-48 hours before using it for your Phalaenopsis Orchid.
