Thank you for sharing your experiences with the new M90's. I received both of my M90's in the same big box. I started with the Q70's, then the Q90's and now the M90's. I didn't know the mapping is being done without cables.

This is Joan Ebbighausen. After listening to her comments , I’m excited to hear the improvements! I have two batteries. One lasts six hours and the the other maybe four. The pause after replacing the device , an improvement! Music, fantastic, I miss it so much! Thinner is wonderful. It all sounds so good to me! When can we talk about it?

Thanks for your helpful report Rachel. I'm in the UK and am getting this (one) processor next week at Oxford. I had my CI op in September 2011 and have had so much benefit but the Q90 is not all I would like (battery life is pretty poor, the 'connect' is not that great - noisy background, hiss breaking connections). I've been with an AB rep who modified some settings but I'm disappointed with this accessory. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new experience!
@@meitan5414 Hi, well we have a universal health care system in the UK so our lifetime contributions, known as National insurance, cover all essential medical procedures and equipment. As an adult I am only allocated one but babies and children have two CIs as a matter of course. Hope your experience is as good as mine.
Thanks for the great video! Just had SSHL 5 weeks ago and I am very eager to get a CI. I've been researching into both Cochlear and AB - and I am torn to say the least. I love the technology behind the AB that I've seen, yet I wonder about the failure rate being higher. On the opposite side I like that Cochlear has a larger market share and they are coming out with the Nucleus 8 processor soon, yet their commitment to new technology doesn't seem as good. Any thoughts?
I've to do the cochlear implant for my 6 years old son, I can't choose between the q90 and nucleus 7 and now I saw your video of the new m90 which I did not know about it. Really it is confusing
Are you in the US? The M90/Sky CI M (Marvel CI) are the newest processors from Advanced Bionics. Not all regions have the Marvel CIs yet but expect them to come soon!
Hi every body, I'm receiving soonly two CI. Now I have a question: My hearing-nerv should be able to edit frequencies from 20 Hrz up to 25'000 Hrz, but soundprozessors only work between 200Hrz and 8500Hrz, the vocal-range, so a wide range of frequencies are missing. How do you enjoy classical music? Isn't it sounding like the old coal microphone telephones? Thanks so much for your experience!
Hey! I just got my new CI last week. I am liking it so far. Do you notice your voice sounds different? or other people's voices? That is what I noticed, and I am not a fan of it. I wonder if you are noticing the same or if something is wrong?
I did notice that a lot of things sounded different with the new processors but it didn't take long for everything to normalize. Take notes of what you notice and talk to your audiologist about them when you go back. Thanks for watching!!
I have recently ordered an M90 and am waiting for authoritarian from the VA, I have a talking book player from the Idaho Commission for the Blind and Vision Impaired. It does not have Bluetooth. I have it connected to my Roger Pen and it is received by the ComPilot. What will I need to be able to hear the player when I get the new M90 processor?

Thank you for your video it is awesome ! i have operation in 2 weeks and i am getting first Q90 and then M90 ( there was an issue with availability so while waiting m90 i will have Q90 ) I must say i am extremly happy to hear about streaming being so seamless. I was worried there would be latency issues or simply quality of sound issues. Did you perhaps try out video games ? Latency for video games over bluetooth is quite terrible and i was wondering if it seemed out of sync for you.
I haven't done any video gaming with mine but have found no latency issues. Keep in mind that you can still use gamer style headsets with the M90s thanks to the awesome t-mic! :) All the best on your surgery and activation!!

I love the new waterproof battery (active lifestyle kit). I haven't used it a ton yet but it is so much smaller and lighter than the old AquaCase. Looking forward to having fun with it this summer!

Question: When you're streaming, do you have options to choose to hear what is going on around you ? For example, I am streaming on my tablet but then someone walks in or the doorbell rings... Can I choose or change settings to allow me to hear the environmental sounds while streaming?
The Marvel processors now have the ability to control your environmental balance while streaming. You can use the remote mobile app or simply a short press up or down on the processor multifunction button will adjust the streaming signal to reduce or increase the amount of environmental input you receive.
