@@Pediatra15 I got it in the hospital where I had the surgery after my tendon rupture. Really helpfull device this Vacoped. Afterwards the hospital took it back. They have contract with the Vacoped-company. I live in the Netherlands.
Are there any videos available with being given a vacoped boot with a high heel with the rachet system. Because of an injury of a Ruptured Achilles Tendon?
Hey, ruptured my right achilles two weeks ago. The boot was causing a lot of swelling, pain and discomfort from the heat. Found that removing the boot and resting the foot angled down and sideways on a pillow when working during the day eliminated all these issues. However, slightly unsure if this is okej or if it may affect the healing process, could not find anything on it online. So, my question is, is this a sensible thing to do. I'm still using the boot when sleeping and when moving around. Thanks
My surgeon did not recommend wearing my boot post op while in bed. I also felt more comfortable removing the boot. I think that what it really comes down to is the type of surgery. Mine was the Tenolig technique. I have started physical therapy now(5 weeks post op) and am already thanking myself for not wearing the boot too religiously(making good progress)
Hi, I would like to ask, I had left achilles tendon rupture on 11/07/2022, during my recovery period, i fall down again and caused my left achilles tendon re-rupture on 23/08/2022, so I had my second surgery to fix it. This time, doctor is cutting part of my calf part(above abit from my achilles tendon), to flip down and connect back with my achilles tendon. It is already 32days, I can feel my achilles tendon is wider and stiffer compare with my right achilles tendon. Yesterday(27/09/2022), physiotherapist told me that my achilles tendon is very hard, and gave me the treatments of cold compress, hot compress, and end up with ultrasound. My question is, actually what is the solution achilles tendon re-rupture? Is it really take part of the calf part and connect to my achilles tendon? My foot now still cant landing, I would like to wear VacoPed Pro Achilles Boot, it is advisable? Thanks
I’m trying to figure out if my doc will give me this boot. I have a complete tear of my Achilles, and my post op appointment is next Monday. Ive heard the black CAM boots with heel wedges absolutely suck. I’m just wondering what the odds are that my doc will prescribe me this one. I called and asked but no response yet. My fingers are crossed! 🤞
You can just buy it online if $ isn’t an issue. It’s 300$. I’m 2 weeks away from having my cast taken off (non op) route. And chose to get this boot regardless of what I’m offered
@@Lou-oy2xd I was able to find one in sale for 125! So I did that, I bought it and I’m gonna bring it to my post op appointment. And have them use that. My only worry is that they’ll give me a vacoped boot and I’ll be out 125, but I can just sell it so someone else who needs it and can’t afford the 300 😊
