Are there any videos available with being given a vacoped boot with a high heel with the rachet system. Because of an injury of a Ruptured Achilles Tendon?
I sprained my ankle yesterday practicing soccer with my team. I can't figure out if I have a grade one or grade two sprain. I am literally hoping to Jesus that it is a grade one sprain because my team is going to a soccer tournament in 3 weeks. (we were undefeated this season btw B) ) If it is a grade one I will be good for our tournament. I know it isn't a grade three because my dad had a grade three and his ankle turned purple. And my ankle is just swollen and a little bit bruised. I think it is a grade one.
I’m trying to figure out if my doc will give me this boot. I have a complete tear of my Achilles, and my post op appointment is next Monday. Ive heard the black CAM boots with heel wedges absolutely suck. I’m just wondering what the odds are that my doc will prescribe me this one. I called and asked but no response yet. My fingers are crossed! 🤞
You can just buy it online if $ isn’t an issue. It’s 300$. I’m 2 weeks away from having my cast taken off (non op) route. And chose to get this boot regardless of what I’m offered
@@Lou-oy2xd I was able to find one in sale for 125! So I did that, I bought it and I’m gonna bring it to my post op appointment. And have them use that. My only worry is that they’ll give me a vacoped boot and I’ll be out 125, but I can just sell it so someone else who needs it and can’t afford the 300 😊

Why can't we just drill through the toes cartilage and pull it out after so that I can have full movement of my joint!? Doing it this way I will never be able to move my toe again!
Can the pain be tolerated after surgery with just an NSAID? I need bunion surgery and I cannot take prescription pain killers. I have had patella shortening surgery with plates & screws with no Rx after...
Yes. I just got my lapiplasty bunion surgery 8 weeks ago. My doctor had prescribed some painkillers, but I didn't need it . I only took advil dual action ( over-counter) for the first several days after surgery to manage the pain.
I've got rheumatoid arthritis on both wrist. My left knee is worse. Extremely painful but all thanks to Dr miracle herbs for his herbal remedy which cure me from arthritis ru-vid.com/show-UC6UthdJAF5dpYNqgoDQAkOw
The tutorial was too quick for me to understand or listen to you move too fast go slower when you explain the cast I don't know how to adjust the airflow you guys said it somewhere in the video but I didn't hear it cuz it was going so fast
Hi, I would like to ask, I had left achilles tendon rupture on 11/07/2022, during my recovery period, i fall down again and caused my left achilles tendon re-rupture on 23/08/2022, so I had my second surgery to fix it. This time, doctor is cutting part of my calf part(above abit from my achilles tendon), to flip down and connect back with my achilles tendon. It is already 32days, I can feel my achilles tendon is wider and stiffer compare with my right achilles tendon. Yesterday(27/09/2022), physiotherapist told me that my achilles tendon is very hard, and gave me the treatments of cold compress, hot compress, and end up with ultrasound. My question is, actually what is the solution achilles tendon re-rupture? Is it really take part of the calf part and connect to my achilles tendon? My foot now still cant landing, I would like to wear VacoPed Pro Achilles Boot, it is advisable? Thanks
Boot is pressing on my achilles and I'm getting sharp pains! I'm in it for an ankle avulsion fracture and now its hurting more too on my ankle. I have a very skinny leg and ankle. The wrap part of the boot leaves a big space between it and the leg. I have to do alot of pumps then when I walk ankle still lifts up and has to support this very heavy boot. It didn't seem heavy til it was on my foot:( ouch!!!
Exactly what you explained is what’s happening to me yesterday, I got the boot and decided for a safety of my ankle it would be best to remove it. The weight from the ankle moving with my small leg is causing pain to my ankle and feels like it would pop if I didn’t remove the boot.
@@justmommyandbabygirl I was told not to take it off:( I have an appt on Tues. Hoping he will have another solution. I'm opening my boot up and letting all the air out to lie more comfortably but still that pressure on the achilles and little pains in the ankle area but I have to get to the bathroom with it on and pumped. What are you going to do to immobilize your ankle?
@@joanw9091 during the first 8 days I had the half of splint on; it wasn’t right causing death like pain; even pain medication wasn’t helping. Yesterday is when I tried this new boot I purchased the (NEENCA Medical Inflatable Walking Boot, Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot, Orthopedic Boot for Ankle Foot Pain Recovery, Sprained Ankle, Stress Fracture,Broken Foot,Achilles Tendonitis. Tall Version). It’s extremely to heavy, and the air pressure pump for compression for swelling is built into the frame not the removable lining insert wrap. Definitely will need one with the removable lining but with the air pressure built into the lining. So I just ordered this (United Ortho Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot, ) but it wont arrive until the 9th of July. 😢. Today I just have the hospital bandage rewrapped around my ankle/foot and the removable lining around it tightly up my leg to try and stabilize it. I haven’t put any weight on it. 1st 5 days my daughter was pushing me around in my office chair, to the bathroom, it was painful when I had to hop to the bathroom toilet from the doorway as the chair wouldn’t fit inside; not to mention one day my body just couldn’t endure the strength or pain so I crawled. 5th day the Scooter I ordered came in and I’ve been using it, It’s heaven sent. If you don’t have one get one, it will help you move around without compromising the immobilized leg/ankle/foot. This is the one I ordered (ELENKER Steerable Knee Scooter for Foot Injuries Ankles Surgery with Comfortable Soft Knee Pad and Multifunctional Cloth Bag ). Awaiting the second boot and a ankle brace support wrap from amazon on July 9th. Trying not to get a fitted cast by all means. I can share pic with you if you’ll like to and chat more about our journey/tip/advice as we go through this recover. 9015936206
@@joanw9091 bro the same is happening to me i had tibia surgery and now the boot makes my leg feel like it’s being ripped apart. can you give tips on how you handled the pain?
Hey, ruptured my right achilles two weeks ago. The boot was causing a lot of swelling, pain and discomfort from the heat. Found that removing the boot and resting the foot angled down and sideways on a pillow when working during the day eliminated all these issues. However, slightly unsure if this is okej or if it may affect the healing process, could not find anything on it online. So, my question is, is this a sensible thing to do. I'm still using the boot when sleeping and when moving around. Thanks
My surgeon did not recommend wearing my boot post op while in bed. I also felt more comfortable removing the boot. I think that what it really comes down to is the type of surgery. Mine was the Tenolig technique. I have started physical therapy now(5 weeks post op) and am already thanking myself for not wearing the boot too religiously(making good progress)
All podiatrists do a 3-4 year residency... Get your facts straight....this video is midleading...podiatrists focus on feet and ankles for at least 2 years of med school and additional 3-4 years residency...thats 5-6 years....compared to your 1 year fellowship....and your the foot and ankle expert? Yeah Right!!!
