I think that any of the variants of the chelsea it's a must have on the closet, as well as a pair of comfy sneakers and something similar to derby's or oxfords so you can use the full potential of your wardrobe just by tinkering a bit with the combinations.

Three great look-book illustrations to show how to pair them. I do like a Chelsea boot but stayed away from plain black leather in case it was trying to be too smart but falling short of a leather shoe, but these three are great examples. Going to revisit them for another look....

Great looks👍🏻 however in my opinion, to style the black Chelsea in a casual look, the boots need to be a little worn in and not shiny. This goes for any black footwear to be worn with jeans. Shiny black footwear is more dressy style.

It's something about Chelsea boots that I'm not a fan of. I still prefer shoe boots or other dress boots as far as looks. I think with a higher profile sole I could possibly rock them. Salute anyways.

All debates have already been settled.. superior in design, comfort, safety(laces) and functionality(especially when waterproof). You can wear a pair of chukkas dressed up or down plus you could take them to the dessert(like they were literally designed for) or hiking anywhere...overall it's the more masculine shoe.
