I re-watch this video every 6-8 months just because it's that good. It's a reminder to go back to the basics with a fresh, easy look that compliments absolutely everybody.
Let's say goodbye to orange faces once and for all! How to Wear Bronzer Beautifully - A Fresh and Natural Day Look. #Bronzer #beauty #makeup #lisaeldridge
Hey Lisa! I love how perfect your skin is even without makeup :) please do a video on the massage technique you do as part of your skincare regimen (as mentioned in the previous vid)! LOVE YOUUUUU
I'm only 17 and I find your videos so inspiring! I admire how timeless and polished your makeup always is and try my best to replicate it. You have definitely taught me that often times less is more! It's great knowing I can look back at pictures 10 years from now and not have a "what was I thinking!?!?" moment:)
It was great to hear a make-up artist saying she thinks she doesn't look good with contour. Because I hear it everywhere how use SHOULD use bronzer for contour, but I feel like a clown wearing it, so thak you!
@@janetyamashige9573 omg yes ...like bronzers are meant to mimic a sunkissed tanned look which is caused by the sun..which is in the sky... The sun is not below us or right beside us...sooooooo why use something meant to warm up the face where shadows(cool tone colors) are??...you put the bronzer ON the cheekbones and cheeks and the contour UNDERNEATH ...it makes the cheekbone protrude more.... I can't with these so called beauty gurus wearing bronzers as contours ...or anyone for that matter...end rant
i really love your approach on makeup. its so well executed but its simple at the same time. its always sophisticated looking yet sexy in a subtle but standout way. i just love it! *perfection!* this is how i try to practice my philosophy on makeup, thanks to you. :)
@@WhatTheHellRachelle I have seen another beauty guru use a darker powder as a bronzer a couple times on her channel. I have never done it, but if you already have a powder a couple shades darker then I think it would be worth a try.
The term "guru" is tossed around so often on RU-vid. In fact, it seems a lot of people with a ton of makeup and a video camera automatically consider themselves a "guru". Lisa, you are the epitome of a guru! You're a very talented and knowledgeable woman who exudes grace and style. You have the ability to teach your tried & true methods in ways that are very easy to understand & make me want to learn more. Thank you so much for the time you put into your videos, they make my day :) Donna xx
Finally, a makeup artist who prefers actual beauty-enhancing makeup. The conventional makeup artist on RU-vid does drag makeup.. just calling a spade a spade. I mean no shade, they can wear what they want, but I definitely prefer these tutorials
the pinky lip colour fits PERFECTLY with the bronzer!! i love it!! it's just a small step but it totally influenced the look!! i love you lisa, you're amazing!! thank you for sharing your experience and your tips with us!!!!!
You have definitely shaped my makeup routine. I love how you always preaching less is more. Thanks for the education and your voice is such a dream to listen to. Much love from malaysia
you have no idea of how happy and excited I am whenever I receive an e-mail informing me that you've have just uploaded a new video. I love your videos, and they are so so helpful. XX
Genius Lisa! Thank you so much for this video! I recently purchased a bronzer but had no idea how to use it and its been sitting on my makeup table for a few weeks. Most of the videos I watched werent that applicable to me as I want a very natural look. This video tells me exactly the things I need to know to achieve the look I want. Thank you so much again! Have always admired your work.
Fantastic, Lisa. I appreciate the way you convey your tips and knowledge to us by using a soft, warm tone in your voice. Your videos make it seem as if we were just having a chat and it makes it so much easier to follow along. Thank you.
I know this video is old but on the topic of bronzer I will say I never really wore them in my younger years but now that I reached my 40's and was forced to go through menopause from a hysterectomy I've started wearing matte bronzers. Since menopause my skin changed drastically. It got dryer and has a lot of red in it. I've found any kind of pink blusher will emphasize the red a lot, even if I've color corrected the red. I've recently bought an E.L.F total face pallet. It has an amazing matte bronzer and 2 peachy/apricot blusher and a beautiful highlight. I am able to use the bronzer to define my cheekbones and have it fade into the blush. I love it because the red tones don't pop through. I also must say that I love the trick of doing a light powder before the bronzer and blusher. I have much dryer skin now and was only using cream blushes. I've been using a mineral powder and it helps so much especially since the pallet i found only comes in powder. Thank you for all your much needed tips.
Wow, I really enjoyed this video! Thank you so much for the wonderful tips - I had never thought of putting bronzer on my eyes if I don't have time for eyeshadow. I feel like I learned a lot more about bronzer from this video - thank you again!!
Another amazing tip from the master herself! Lisa, I was wondering if you can show us girls with barely any brows (from over-plucking or you're like me and was never blessed with a lot of brow hair) to create naturally full brows without having those awkward square tips at the fronts; I've seen so many girls resort to the super sharp-edged square brows! I guess that is a look if they're going for that kind of style but for natural brows it's... not the best.
I watch a lot of videos on youtube, and I have to say, you really know your stuff! I think you have an excellent idea of what makeup should and should not be used for on a woman. I am all about enhancing my strong points but with minimal product..I think it really does bring out the best in me. I wish more artists would teach these techniques. :)
Thank you so much, Lisa! I have been worrying about looking too orange for the last week as I have been starting to wear bronzer again... trust you to save the day! :) Amazing as always x
I absolutely love Rimmel matte bronzer, it's great value for money and gives my pale skin a lovely glow. The packaging isn't wonderful, so I put mine in a vintage Stratton compact. ♥
Thank you Lisa for this great tutorial and the tips about bronzer. I have tan, medium tone skin and I've found it difficult to achieve a good bronzed look. I'm going to try your tips and hopefully it will make a big difference!
Since Ive watched this video, Ive been using this technique and it really does make my bronzer application look much more natural. Kissed by the sun look. Thank you Lisa. You're not only beautiful, you're brilliant!
Ha, I've just been struggling with that February-March skin tone problem, as I too don't look too good with contouring/ too much bronzer, so thanks so much, Lisa! Just today tried out the look you did on Sophie Dahl with pink cream eye shadow and it turned out lovely!
I'm a true MAC NC45 color and I use Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Deep which I absolutely love and will probably not use any other bronzer. I use in the strategic places that Lisa has advised also and it also happens to be quite universal as it sounds like many different skintones of people use this same product in the shade called Deep.
Hi, Lisa. Thank you for doing the videos. My makeup application techniques are advancing more and more, thanks to you. I feel like almost 9/10 "beauty gurus" on youtube replicate or they preach about the same things. When I come over to your channel, I tell myself, ‘let's move to classy now'. :-) You truly are a professional and I respect you a lot for that. And you are a lovely human being, too. Cheers to experts!
Hi Lisa. Fantastic vid as usual. You are amazing. I'm loving these wearable looks but id also love to see some editorial and full-on dramatic looks too. I love watching you work!! Hugs from Down Under!! xx
Why don't you make a video about the different types of mascara brushes? Because I think the result might depend on them. :) What's your opinion girls?
This video is extremely helpful, thank you so much for sharing your advice! Also I have to say, even though it was a very quick and easy makeup, you look fabulous!
Hi Lisa I've seen so many ppl talking about highlighting n contouring but ur the only MUA I've come across showing to keep ur natural features n not hide ..normally ppl look like porcelain dolls with wrong colour of contouring and am talking about make up done by professionals🙈
Can you do a video on how to lift a droopy lip? The corners of my lips naturally droop down with a sort of shadow beneath the droopy lip. How can i make my lip corners look better, and minimise the shadow almost like a marionette line down from my lip corners?
+Patrick Star i have tried that but it didnt really seem to lift the contour out,and because my mouth is quite small anyway any attempt to apply concealer in the corners makes it look even smaller.
+P Heart Have you tried using a more highlighting sort of concealer like Touche Eclat? If not, try something like that in an upward direction at the corners
Thank you Lisa! I have always struggled with bronzer especially as an MUA! I found YSL bronzers to be so beautiful but not really matte sort of a satin....
Contouring doesn't suit my face shape either. Thank you for such a lovely look. I could have benefited from you when I was a teen 'plopping' makeup on.
i love Lisa and her videos and technique is amazing. i do however think the bronzer is the wrong color for her. It looks almost like an orangey fake tan which doesn't suit her beautiful porcelain skin. Also we d love to see a bronzer session for men as well as some tips for very natural make up for men
Fantastic! I'm also curious to know what your thoughts are on the Rae Morris brushes? Have seem you using them a few times now... Is that really tapered point actually helpful? - M
This is gorgeous! I love how your lashes look. My lashes are hard to curl and I don't know which mascara (inexpensive) is good for me. Tips please Lisa! x
After THIS tutorial, I could maybe start using a little bit of bronzer, as per your advice, Lisa. I just hate to see beautiful girls with dark dirt stripes on their faces. The mentality of "Imma get a new nose, and bronze myself a few pounds skinner" is cringe worthy. I love your approach to make, keeping it simple and classy.
very helpfull! thank you so much! could you do a video about how to choose the right mascara color? thanks, that was an amazing explantion and makeup appliance
This is such a gorgeous look, I love bronzers so I'm definitely going to try this! I love how your eyes shone after you added the mascara! I also love that you consider deeper skin tones in your tutorials. A lot of MUA's don't. As a woman of colour I use bronzers from Guerlain (ebony is fab for my skin tone) ELF and of course CoverGirl! :)
Hi Lisa, I love your videos!! I have been learning a lot with you. Thank you so much. I have one question: I saw in a video on youtube (not yours) someone using milk of magnesia for oily skin and for large pores. I've tried once and it did work great. However, my question is "have you ever heard of it?" "do you know if it is safe for the skin to do that?" Thank you very much. xx
Love ur videos. Quick request I am brown girl with yellow undertones (nc40) can you please do a video on bronzer shades suitable for this particular skin tone....Thanks xxx
Hey lisa, i love your makeup tutorials! So professional and still easy and simple. I have a question, what do you do with your birthmark when you're wearing a full face of makeup? I have two quite prominent birthmarks on my cheek as well and when i wear a lot of makeup they are slightly covered but never fully, and that makes my whole look look really fake and 'makeuppy'. I like to just 'draw' them on afterwards, my eyebrowpencil is the perfect colour for that, but i was wondering how you deal with this. Love, rosa (sorry if you already made a video about this and i didn't notice this, feel free to send me to it:)
Always, gorgeous! I have a difficult time with my bronzer...it may not be the right shade. Please follow up with a video and feature women of different ethnicities and the correct shade of bronzers. Also, feature women of different ethnicities with a 'Fresh Look for Spring.' ;)
Lisa, I'm a US medical medical student, and I just wanted you to know how much I love watching your videos. I normally never comment on youtube or other social media, but your work is stunning, and your genuine desire to help others is inspiring. Thank you for all your hard work and for your advice. I'm always looking forward to the day something new pops up on your site. I hope this note brightens your day, and I hope you have a lovely weekend.
