I've recently bought a few ties with matching cufflinks. I thought I'd have to buy new shirts that would accommodate the cufflinks but after watching your video I see with very minor alterations, which I can do myself, I'll be able to wear the cufflinks and save a ton of money ...thank you very much.

Umm it says "on a regular shirt" but the shirt in your video is custom made and has the middle hole between two buttons. WTF?

Its a tailored shirt. Yes. But by regular shirt we mean a shirt with barrel cuffs aka the button cuffs unlike a shirt with french cuffs. What I am trying to explain here is that the holes are a minor alteration anyone can get done to his barrel cuff shirt. 🙂

Regular shirt as in some common affordable brands like LP, blackberry . They have this feature in their shirts available but most of the users are just unaware of it . This video was targeted towards such individuals as well as the one who are willing to modify their shirt with this minor alteration .

This is a regular shirt. A custom made regular shirt. It doesn't feature a french cuff in the sleeves hence is called a regular shirt. The alteration done to it is a minor one which if you have any idea of sewing ,can be done at home or by a tailor to any regular shirt you have .

I watched this video to see how to wear cufflinks with a regular shirt only to find out that the video maker had the shirts tailored to use the cufflinks not a "regular" shirt as in a basic button up you can buy anywhere. That's not the video I came to watch as I expect is true with others. Explaining this point of view and feeling of being mislead is not hate. I'm sorry you don't see the difference.

Thank you my man. It's so crazy how you really can't find that many videos or images on convertible cuffs. They're not that popular, which I don't know why, cause I love having the option to do both. Depending on the look you are going for, cufflinks aren't always the best choice and if you paid to have a custom shirt, you want as much use out of it as possible. Thanks again!

You can wear in a regular shirt once fastened with the button there's enough to to fit the cufflink and if there big enough they will cover the button

I think the "hate" in the comments stems from the description of the video saying it's "How To Wear Cufflinks on a Regular Shirt (with buttons)" when in fact he's using a custom tailored shirt and not a regular shirt. We came her looking how we might be able to put cufflinks on an actual regular shirt but instead it's a shirt designed for cufflinks. Just a thought. :)

@@HyruleBalverine I understand. But the whole point of this video is how you can make a minor alteration to your regular shirt and make it wearable with a pair of cufflinks. And yes this is a custom shirt but that minor alteration to make it cufflinks friendly was done later to the shirt when i felt the need. Also,many brands offer this feature in their regular shirt. It's just people aren't aware of that.

@@MenWithClassOfficial Except that people searching for this video aren't expecting to see a video for an altered shirt because the title doesn't say it's altered. Quite frankly, once the shirt is altered to have the hole for the cufflink, there is no point in a how to video. If the "whole point of this video is how you can make a minor alteration to your regular shirt and make it wearable with a pair of cufflinks" then 1) You should specify that the video is about altering a regular shirt and 2) you admit that the "regular" shirt is now "altered" and thus no longer regular. Remember that most people watching this probably don't have the time to go to a tailor and have their shirt altered. If they had that time, they'd most likely spend less money on a pair of cuff adapters.

I had this alteration made in this regular style shirt. Any shirt ehich has buttons on the sleeves can be called a regular shirt. I have also done this exact alteration in many of my store brought shirts and it works great. You just have to make two buttonholes on both the side of cuff. The idea behind this video was that you can easily alter your regular shirt in this manner. Thank you for for watching.

@@MenWithClassOfficial In that case rename the video to: "How to make cufflink alterations to a regular shirt". Most of us clicking on this were looking for a way to wear cufflinks without making alterations. Like with cuff adapters or something similar.

The shirt was a perfect fit. It was me who had shed some weights during this video. After gaining a considerable amount of muscle mass now. The shirt again fits me perfectly.

Shirt needs to be in Clorox in hot water for a few hours! Very dingy looking and needs major ironing... The video message is just to hear yourself because it’s not informative at all.. I’m amazed what people put on RU-vid as instructional... 🙄
