I wonder too if you're more of an avid hiker, and maybe your feet are a bit more accustomed to the smaller aches and pains one might get from hiking, but for a person who is hiking for the first time *and* wearing new shoes, they might need more breaking in. Either way, glad you found good shoes for yourself!
The North face products are really amazing, All of my hiking, camping and Mountaineering gears are the North face for more the 20years and I always recommend The North Face to other adventurers! And where it is possible prefer the merino wool (or organic cotton in less sweaty situations) instead the plastic materials to generate less microplastic pollution.
Don't get advice from Alex that isn't related to climbing. His advice about hiking is, wear comfortable shoes. He's a climber. That is it. Not a climate activist either 🤣💩🤡
