i found out i have to widen my swingarm the other night when stuff wasnt lining up......On first view, I didnt really grasp why you made the cuts like you did. My brain had me cutting the pivot tube in half and making that wider.......luckily I didnt do it and as i was falling asleep last night it hit me.....OH thats why he made the cuts like that. Ill have to do it a little differently than you did because my pivot is only a tube, with the arms coming right off, and another cross tube a few inches further along. THanks for the video!!

i have a CBR929 and i want to make a wider swing arm using 2 factory swing arms. I'm trying to find instructions on the rest of the project like cush drive and front sprocket extending to make it work...
Devil's Den Customs thanks for the heads up. i wish there was a how-to video for installing these wide wheels on a factory bike from beginning to end. i can figure out the fabrication. i just want a wheel that's as wide as the widest part of the tail section.
Unfortunately on the old model solid mount sportsters, the swingarm is not as wide as the later rubber mounted sportsters. Also the frame is slightly different from those years to current ones. I wish for my sake it was as easy as urs lol great video also btw
