How to win at Tableturf Battle - Placement, Deckbuilding, Special Meter (Splatoon 3 in-depth guide) 

It's funny that I had to find a tcg channel to figure out how to play a game mode in a shooting game

one important detail I didn't see mentioned in the video, and didn't bother scrolling through the comments to look for, is that the cards named/based off of actual specials (zooka, crab tank, etc) are all worth 12 squares, contain no special squares in them, but only cost 3 units of special meter to cast as a special. so they're pretty much designed to be used AS specials.

there are some cards which don’t have an orange square, have a large paint output, and only take 3 orange squares to special, i think having one in every deck is great for the last turn

I'm a TCG player, mostly with Pokemon but I like dabbling a little in other games so when I saw there was going to be a Splatoon one in game, I got excited & wanted to learn it but I just didn't, now with it being online, I'm motivated & have been fun playing. I collected a lot of cards so I have plenty for deck building.

I prefer around 5-6 larger cards in order to establish myself on the board early on before playing a lot of small cards to build specials so I can use two large impactful specials during the game. I only have situational or very useful medium cards like Splatana Wiper that have numerous uses. Bombs op for special building.

I adore this game mode (spent most of the first days of launch playing it instead of turf war XD), and I think this was a very useful guide, especially the deck ratios ^v^)d One small thing I wish you would've included is that stage walls can contribute to surrounding special tiles (though there was footage of it in the video)

This helps. I been wanting to play the game but the rules seemed confusing and even when you think you understand it. Everything backfires. I'd say that it's hard to connect cards together since they may not always mesh seamlessly due to the opponent overlapping. I would like to see a follow of what would be good combos cards that are a good pair. Maybe create several decks and teach us a bit more on deck building.

Ok so I am not lying here, but before this video I actually figured out myself that the captain and steelhead card could combine together nicely. This is definitely something to keep in mind when building a deck. I watched this video to improve and with a few extra tips that I now know from this, I will try to battle more efficiently.
