Move #7 Jab at, Stunt has made me completely unguardable as I jab so far ahead that i create so much seperation for the drive or shot and then i just counter it with the cross after the jab. Thank you Coach
Jesus, I have been trying to figure out this rocker step thingy for months! I've seen NBA players do it, and saw it was effective somehow, but never really understood when to do it, how or why! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for these coach the only move that Ive been doing when Im playing 1on1 with somebody is shoot a three right on front of their face cuz im not that explosive but i have a good pull up jumper or three off the dribble
Coach explains not to pick up your pivot foot before dribbling, but a pause at :52 and again at :57 shows coach has clearly travelled. Referees have been calling this more frequently at the high school level in our state, and many times the players aren't even aware they are doing it.
Good video. Aging problem is slowing me down and I can no longer do some crazy dribbles to beat defenders. Scoring out of triple threat position sounds like a way out.
I love this channel because since the quarantine I’m being watching your videos and I’m just going outside and doing it. So I’m a girl and these boys are ight. But that’s not the point. But they say I’m not good but I beat them in the 1v1. And stuff. But thanks for your channel.
Hey EGT my name is Jonas and I play basketball in Germany, I would say that I am a decent player, the only thing is, I don't know how to properly eat for Basketball. Do you guys can give some tips on what I should eat ?
JF 15 Depends on how active you are. If you are going hard every day then you'll need alot of carbs. Fish chicken, rice, bread, water, etc. Cut out anything bad, especially sodas and greese foods.
The older you get and the higher competition, the more you need to eat healthier to sustain top level play. So I'm assuming you're a teen in highschool right now, and you're either a little over, or far underweight. You should, if you're a rail like myself, be eating proteins a LOT, to build up your muscle mass. I like to get protein from 2 sometimes 3 sources per meal. Now I don't really like nuts so I choose beans (black, vegetarian, Pinto, etc) for veggie protein and a nice chicken, beef, etc. for my animal protein. Carbs are easier to find than those. Try brown rice (better for you than white), pasta, potatoes and the like. Now you need to get some greens in you so go for ones that help preformance. I like carrots, STAY AWAY FROM CORN as your body does not naturally digest it, broccoli's good, Lettuce, Cabbage, Onions, Peppers are stuff that I like to eat, but try different things for yourself. You might find that you like avocados which are also a good source of protein. Try getting these meals days in advance because preparing them the day of is never realistic. That's a big part of why people go back to their bad eating habbits because it's time consuming. Other than that though, you've probably heard what not to eat before, candy, chips, soda, junk food, etc. Honestly you can google your recommended dietary intake based on your weight and that'll give you portions so you can get where you want
What do you do if you're in a triple threat and the defender is not giving you any directions. You covered weak hand strong hand and didn't cover neutral stand.
If you can't pass out of that situation and you're stuck call timeout and reset. Sometimes the defense will put you in spots where you don't have any good options. - Joe @ TeamEGT
@@DeepGameBasketball hey, appreciate the reply, i was looking more for how do you beat the defender if hes not giving you a direction Instead of just passing it out.
You can play 1v1 in a regular 5v5 game. If u beat someone in 1v1 (for eg. u are the pg and u beat the enemy pg) there is a great chance for a second defender to show up.
Great content, quality on check! One question tho, how isn’t the first move a travel? Your left is your pivot foot, and you clearly lift your pivot foot before driblling the ball. I am not tryiing to call you out or anything like that, i just see so many coaches teaching us to do that move, and that confuses me because in europe that is a clear travel. Hope you are going to respond
if you listen closely, the trick in is him saying "put the ball down before we lift up our pivot foot". Refs in Europe are much stricter to this kind of travel (even on the pro level) but in the US people don't think too much about it and I'm assuming that is the reason that when done at slow speed, he clearly dribbles before lifting, but at full speed he kinda blurs it into one motion.
Coach I have a question. I am really good so I play with 17 year old guys while I am 14. There are some guys who have lockdown d and even though I try these I cant score on them. What should I do?
