For the tip at 1:07: Rather than df4 after bound, I highly recommend full crouch -> ws1, [3,3] (Brazilian kick) -> cd1. This both does more damage (80), gives better okizeme, and guarantees the cd1 input as it comes from meme eyes meaning you don’t even have to do the electric. Furthermore, if they quickstand to escape cd1, you can hellsweep out of the meme eyes stance instead or go for regular electric to be safer. This is the setup that I learned from Devilster. Notation: Launcher -> b3,zen 1 -> bf2,3,zenu1 -> ws1,[3,3],df -> 1 (or other meme eyes options for mixup, but usually 1) df4 is only better in edge cases where you don’t have enough time to do ws1 or Brazilian kick at all. Use the combo above for open stages or when you can’t get the wall for better okizeme
arse also showed us this combo ender on stream I think: back 3 into forward 1 2 (but hold df after u press 2 to get meme eyes) then cd1, or hellsweep etc to mixup or even relaunch. I find it gives more time for cd1 to hit if they just try to stand up after the combo. Plus it gives 1 more dmg before the mixup.
@@tabkg5802 Agreed. Should've specified as one of the edge cases, it's amazing after heat omen stuff where you cant get anything other than one hit for your wall combo. Adds insane damage
This was actually really helpful. I was struggling with knowing what to do at the wall as a newer player and the other information has also been really useful!
Alot of this stuff i was already aware of but the savage sword combo with the omen stance is something i was unfamiliar with which makes it easier to use. Thanks for that Arse !
thank you!! you nailed a lot of the things i have trouble with that other youtubers say is broken on jin. people just jab you out of your stances and its annoying. thank you for the tips!!
5:58 this is great. I already did that heat parry move (idk what it’s called) after combos but I’ve been having trouble coming up with good wall combos. I also didn’t know you could cancel that second kick into full combo either. Thanks! Maybe I’ll finally get past the orange ranks after some more practice. Thanks again man! ✌️
You god send man I been wanting to learn how to use Jin for awhile and this helps truly now I feel like I'm getting somewhere and it's starting to come naturally
I never knew that other people also did the df 4 strategy at the end of combos to sacrifice some damage for extra pressure. Nice to see Arsenalty talk about it.
Been stuck in yellow ranks lately but this guide will surely help with that. Thanks for always being a reliable source for Jin tech and best of luck on the road to God of Destruction!
Hey Ty, cheers for the best Jin tips & tricks on YT 🤘 This is probably a frequent asked question on your channel / stream, so hear me out... How about a video about your controller / pads history, what's your current (and future) gear and why 🤔 P.S: Loved your Tekken history videos BTW 👊
There's a tech at the wall with Jin, if you end combo with DF+4 and they decided to tech roll D+1+2 will connect (works if you don't delay) another tech is that after DF+4 if they try to get up by pressing BACK, FF+4 somehow connect so you got a good chunk of damage. I used this when I'm not in heat and give my opponent some mind games
I think df4 as ender is good, however I think the best option for ground splat oki is cd ws1,2 into zen. It can relaunch opponents using kicks or kipup when using zen U1 and uf they stay on the ground, you can do zen into red eyes cd1 or just do 4 out of zen. I'll probably upload a small tips guide on this too.
Was searching far and wide for a short and sweet guide for Jin fuckery for my Yoshi main friend who wants to pick up Jin. And as if the Tekken God(Omega)s answered my prayers, here you are. Bless up
a good move i dont see other jins dont use is f+12, it has decent range and good damage, quick and safe on block, and on block it also has decent pushback, enough to even be safe from the opponent's jabs beware though it is a high attack
Another point for db4 is that it's pushback on block actually makes it so Kaz can't twin piston it. I was pulling my hair out every time I'd block it and my twin piston wiffed. Could only get my tsunami kicks to ever punish
Pretty solid but Jin offers a lot more still. Jin has a lot of ways to peel opponents off the wall. He has a list of oki options when he lands hellsweep. Df3-3 into ecd1 is guranteed as a combo ender against backturned enemies. Bf23 is safe on block and is nc and has zen follow ups. The list goes on and on when it comes to optimization. Still a great video though!
Also something to know about f4 is that you should throw it out at +8 (so jab/2-1/df1/whatever hits or you connect zen4 at Max range) and at +5-6 but more rarely. It is Jin 101 but I didn't learn 101 for the longest time unfortunately. If they start to power crush do d2 instead
@@mrpotato7734well you can cancel every red eyes dash into uf2/uf4 or other moves with up immediately. Bf2-3-zen is +2 on block so you can go on offense with it, "mix" between zen u1 and zen 2+3 is especially cheeky
0:54 bro, try d/f3~3, it's similar but it spikes the opponent harder in the ground, and if you hold d/f you go intro break step do CD1 and the only way of your opponent avoiding this is quickstand or toekick
4:50 people say just look at the hands to break grabs… Grabs op and king is broken. When hands are close together and you been seeing jabs it’s so easy to miss what’s happening
There is a question i have about zen cancelling, can you still use it like in T7 to 3,1 loop? The most basic combo i want to try is ewhf, 3,1 zen cancel, 3,1 zen 1,2
I love the video! Regarding the zen cancel. with your notation to cancel safely I end up hopping backwards. is it f4,f,(df~ub)? I 'll try again at home in 10 hours after work.
