This is a fine video Jake but if you really want people to start understanding how to lane properly you should do it in like a film breakdown style I think. Where you can talk about why you made the choices you made, what you saw and felt that led to some of the choices you made. You do a little of this while playing and it is impressive to play and talk through your reasoning at the same time, but I feel like so much more understanding could happen if you communicated more to us by focusing on explaining it!

How to win in your lane as a support: pray that your lane partner is good The amount of times I’ve lost T2 goal bc my lane partner did not know how to properly utilize having a hoopa (and other support but mostly hoopa) as a lane partner is crazy. And some just straight up abandon me after dying once or twice bc they kept playing diving recklessly. My favorite fill Pokemon is Hoopa and clefable at the moment; hoopa having carried me to Masters this season and Clefable just being extremely fun to play. I play slowbro when a defender is needed.

Something people don't do is apply pressure when playing a defender. Goodra can space enemies away or let them get in his melee range, while having Gooey and Bubble for lane sustain and tankiness. Bubble shield has saved my butt so much, people forget how much value that thing has lmao

Its not strictly related to how to win a lane per say, but since lanes are where scoring happens, I thought I'd add a tip that I've learnt through playing and that I think some people may not realise: The score animations of different Pokemon actually give them different durations for their scoring, and that can sometimes ruin an overcap if you don't know what your Pokemon's score time is: For example, if a goal's got 31 points on it and a Lucario has 40 points on, and your ally gardevoir has 30 points on. Even if you both start your score on the pad at the exact same time, the actual time for the points to enter the goal is so much longer with gardevoir's drawn out score animation, its likely that the lucario will have already broken the goal before garde's points are actually counted as being entered. This is something that has cost me overcaps in the past, and I'm not sure how many people are aware of this so just thought I'd put it out there. Yeehaw to you and yours!

i'm starting to main defenders, love how Crustle plays and i usually play solo or a team where they are carries, so i tend to focus on defenders lol, love the videos! watching them has definitely helped my game!

How to win your lane: Have mewtwo spend 12 hours in it

Usually I use Support and defender, and I always choose Eldegoss or Trev as defender, sometimes Hoopa, but I think in my rank people don't use teleport lol

For Support I go Hoopa. Was super into the Trick/Shadow Ball build for a while but I'm starting to get the hang of Hyperspace Hole/Phantom Force. For Defender my go-to is Mamo, tried making Trevenant work but I found myself dying way too much. But for Mamo I typically go Icicle Crash and High Horsepower, not too big a fan of Ice Fang/Earthquake

I'm a Defender main and my go too is Trevenant, but I mostly go with what the comp is lacking. If we have to little SpA i'll go a SpA Defender, if we need a Attack Defender I'll go one With Supports My go too is Hoopa then in descending priority its Eldegoss, Clefable, and Blissley

I enjoy supports and defenders regardless of having to fill, but when I do fill I pick Hoopa/Elde/Clefable for support (depending on ally comp) and Slowbro/Umbreon for defense

Personally, between support and defender, I prefer defender because I'm more comfortable covering my squad on the frontline. Support is underrated for me, though.

My go-to fills for Supporter and Defender: Umbreon, Slowbro, Eldegoss

Blastoise will always be my main defender. I'd play support if I were any good at it but the only supporters I'm okay with are Eldegoss, Sableye and a little bit of Comfey. I'm hoping Mimikyu will be a supporter.

I play a lot of support and defender, but my top is Eldegoss. I also love Snorlax, Slowbro, and Hoopa, and Blissey.

Whenever I need to fill a spot, I usually pick either Slowbro or Blissey, I think they're pretty useful and I see improvement in the teams whenever I go support I wanna try out Mr. Mime, Greedent, and Comfey soon when I could afford them

It seems I usually have to run support/defense bc so many people want to carry. But the funniest thing is most of the time I will do almost as much dmg or more than the top dps. This has happened to me with almost every defender almost every time and a few of the supporters, Eldegoss, Hoopa, Slowbro

Anyone got any tips on how to do goodras achievement without having to play 500 games? Any tips for the hard achievements in general? I got very few left to complete

I love being any speedster but defenders like goodra and trevanant are also fun

Favourite fill has to be either Hoopa or Slowbro. You can't falter how consistent Slowbro has been in competitive, and Hoop's just so fun to play as (and back to its best).

For defender, I've been really liking Lapras and Trevenant. For supporters, I enjoy Hoopa, but my one true love is Sableye

Cleffable has heen my go to supporter when i need to fill but love going Raid Boss Goss build too. For tank im so happy i can fill with mamo

My go to for each role is: decidueye for attacker(my main), zeraora for speedster, dragonite for all-rounder, but I just unlocked mewtwo and its pretty fun, trevenant for defender, and I never feel like im doing something with supporters, so I don't really go for supporter

I struggle so badly with Sylveon now. My most played pokemon and high wr in the past but now I just can't win with it. I think it's somewhere around 33% this season the handful of times I've played it, and last season was 40s.

Honestly as a I'm going to say it veteran of playing unite I can back up everything and I can say a couple of my own tips because Pokemon unite we help the little guys but if you're still wondering what you need to do if your support do not worry about leveling up worry about supporting your team as best as you can if you're a speedster just take off if you know you can pop off I advise it to pop off then return back to grinding levels if your a defender just with the supporter do not focus on attacking focus on keeping the enemy team away from the goal if you are a attacker push just go absolutely wild and if you're an all-rounder you can mostly play a lot of rolls depending on the situation you might need to play a defender or maybe an attacker sometimes a speedster but where we should you or do you need to be a supporter and that's what you should be doing oh and also I will train you should go they already tell you which ones you should go support us should follow and all round up or an attacker and same with defender you should also follow an attacker or an all-rounder soccer's gold literally anywhere you want depending on which you have to choose what area is you should go

I always go talonflame when speedster needed since it's a really good addition to the team. I get a lot of teams without all rounders now so I use Machamp quite a bit.

I'm a zeraora main and started playing 7 days ago, so I only have 6 unite licenses, but I usually just play offensive

My go-to Pokémon is Pikachu. I've been winning a lot of ranked matches with him, and he's just super easy to play for beginners and seasoned players as well, in my opinion

hoopa is just so much busted with good teamates. Me and my one friend played over 20 matches back on back and we won all of them thanks to hoopa. If you use it properly it can make whole game easier than ever..❤

Never fill Supporter in SoloQ, since that assumes you have competent teammates. Pretty much always fill Defender when your team isn't bulky enough and you want to win, but it depends on the rest of the comp. Trev is the best Defender that can turn into a carry and my go-to, but Mamo is great when put into a CC lane, and a damage Defender like Blastoise or Lapras is good when the rest of your comp lacks both hurt and survivability.

I usually play goodra or blastoise if a defender is needed but never really a supporter since I haven't figured out which supporter goes best for me yet

Umbreon Is has been my go to defender since release, yes, it Is a very simple character but it fills the role of a tank, defender and support pretty well wich Is balanced by my team never picking anything but speedsters and attackers

The way I fill: 1 Defender no supporter->Just pick someone that can self-sustain and let other people deal with the lack of healing. 1 Supporter no defender-> Slowbro. No Support nor Defender-> Blissey, because you probably don't need to worry about dealing damage with that team.

I have to fill quite often which I find frankly upsetting in Master rank. But my teammates pick three attackers and me and my duo have to make up for it. I usually go for hoopa or goodra. Trevenant and eldegoss too. I'm thinking of just maining hoopa with how often i have to play support

How to win lane: have a jungle mewtwo that stays in your lane and an enemy team that doesn’t back up

So what happened to Mewtwo happened to me in a recent Sizor match where I was brawling a Comfey boosted Goodra on It's goal with simply Sizor, and we brawler each other for almost 2 whole minutes before their Zeraora appears and KOs me 10-20 seconds later after it shows up.

I’m actually curious to know why people play Phantom Force over Shadow ball? I stopped playing Hoopa after the new map came out so I’m rusty. Also my go-to fills are Trevenant for defender (the only one I like) and Hoopa for support (used to be Sableye but I don’t like him after the nerfs nearly as much).

Most important thing about the laning phase... Pick a Pokémon that does well in path. Supports, level 4 evos. Do NOT pick Decidueye and expect to have a good lane

Halfway Point Question: If I have to fill as Defender I like to go Slowbro with the occasional Mammo thrown in. If I have to fill as support I like to go Comfey or Eldegoss.

This gameplay seems to highlight your opponent’s poor gameplay more than your good gameplay. I have been in those situations where a bad decision early can snowball into losing all the farm and being under leveled and with winning a fight against the enemy Pokémon being a long shot and no Pokémon to farm you are just hoping they break your goal. People need to focus on securing wild Pokémon first, killing enemies second. Idk, this game can be so frustrating.
