Cool video Mark!I have an SUV here in Greece but our weather is not as cold as Alberta...for me it's more comfortable than a regular car.That's why I chose it.It has a function for snow and mud.
Hi Mark, I live in Italy not far from Milan....here winter is much less cold than Alberta but we use winter tyres. I agree with you: they make a huge difference (even if if there is no snow ). Thanks for this lesson (as always), your method to teach us to practice english is really enjoyable

Hi Mark! How are things going? We don't have those winter tires in Morocco, I use personally four season tires that I change after 60 000 km. Vocabulary: downer, we're slammed we're busy, tire studs, pop the hood, bone dry, bay, torque the tires, lug nut. Take care!

So back at home in Calgary....Don't scare me with winter.....LOL...I hate the time....you know....for many reasons and one is the same like you have It'll be downer for me as well...:((( Actually I have cold...due to very cold and strong wind in the beginning of this week (and I'm sneezing and sniffling...It¨s disgusting) Even if the Indian summer was full of sunshines, simply beautiful....But windy as usuall here ....Probably you missed Calgary's street eating protest...:))))) last week...It was amazing....It was also in France . ...With this changes of tires from summer to winter it's the same here...:)))) Here on Highlands It's mostly mandatory...and most of people wait for 1st snow...and after that the services are full !!! @@MadEnglishTV You know Mark, here in my country we must ! It's mandatory that car must be taken to State control Station for controling technical condition of the car in every 2nd year. So firstly you 'll take it to mechanic who have to repair it and after that to State Technical control. :(((( There're bunch of them....And the repair and the control must be paid by you ...:)))) I'm not kidding!.... hey Mark do I need to buy rims for my winter tires as well? Some people think that would be a good investment if you will use your car for long term. What is your opinion?
Hi! 😃😃I'd say, if you have a nice car that you're going to keep for a while, just have two sets of tires on rims. That way you can change the tires yourself every spring and fall. The only downside of this is that you have to have enough space to store the extra set of wheels. In my case now, I'll just use the winter tires until I sell my SUV. The brakes aren't very good and it has an oil leak. So my SUV is only worth about $2500. I'll probably trade it in on a new vehicle in a few years if I can afford it.
