Great video and easy to follow! Also, don't forget to remove the sim card if the phone has one and any micro SD cards. Those SIM cards can be plugged into your new phone which will transfer your plan over, if not then they can be easily destroyed.

Great steps and hope work for me. Have my old phone & moved back my sim_sdcard. Will work with new phone in the a.m. Worry last step 'removing' acct. Last time not sure when I removed Google Acct or Best Buy did something, it wiped out Contacts on my old phone. Will hope this does not happen again. Bought the Moto G Power 2022. Days won't let me call and texting seems to now start needing to resend. Powers up slow but was easy to adapt being same brand of my old phone. Can't trust Moto G Power will in future get worse. Wrote all your instructions down and hope tomorrow will be a good removal day.... Thanks

*That norton app was unnecessary but everything else was spot on.* You can fill dummy data after your 1st factory reset and then again factory reset the 2nd time so that recovery tools can only recover the dummy files prior to 2nd factory reset. Cheers.

I have a question I am going to be transfering the data from my old Samsung phone to my new phone that I received; same Samsung device. I am going to be using Samsung Smart Switch to transfer the data from my old phone to my new phone and then will have to send the old phone back to Asurion. Now, my question is since I obviously have to do these steps after transferring all of my data , apps, messages, Files etc, etc, to my new phone; after doin step one and step 2 when I get to step 3 which is shredding the data, since I am in the US would the US option be the best method to use or should I do the random method?
