Nice job! I did some 8 pin cords for an external control on a radio with a mauldulator installed. Sure would been handy to have the magnifying glass setup you have. Very cool.

Thanks Luke , that little tool (Helping Hands) has been helpful to me more times than I can count . I also made sure to add a link to where you can buy one at in the description area , for anyone that might be looking for one . I know they can be hard to find .

How would you wire a 4 pin cobra for a realistic 5 pin din for a TRC221 OR TRC216?

You have to figure out which colored wires would be the PTT (keyup) wire , usually the red , but not always . Then which one would be the audio , usually the white wire , but again not always . And which one would be your common ground , which is usually either the black wire, or the shield (the bare wire) ... and in some cases you combine them . Then you have to figure out which pins are the PTT, audio , and ground and solder them together . If you have any paperwork on either the mic or the radio , they will show which does what ... and if you don't you can usually find their manuals online , just do a google search .

I have a general radio telephone 24 channel with original microphone however, I want to know if it’s compatible with a d-104 and if so how do I wire it?

I answered this question for you once before Alfred . I'm sure it's possible , you'll just have the right wiring code to match it up . Also, when I tried to match it to my big stick antenna I got a “ negative “ swing on the radios S meter. Possible causes?

I have a friend that has a new ranger rci 2995dxcf any recommendation for a amplified desk mic.. Or a amplified hand Mic, but I’m sure he would prefer a desk mic

There aren't very many companies that are making decent mics these days . So I'd recommend looking for an "Older" Astatic D104 "Lollipop" styled mic , or a Turner mic someplace like ebay or Mercari .... just make sure the seller has good feedback , and the mics your looking at are in good , working condition .
