In this video, I explain how to wire a custom prop from Boscoyo Studios, or Gilbert engineering USA. It Is super easy to do (except for the pain of pushing pixels!) and Xlights has wiring views so you can see how to do it.
If you want to buy the snow flake I was using (flake i from gilbert engineering USA). Then go here:

Great Video, I have a question. How do you wire props that are not in Xlights? I have a few custom props from Gilbert Engineering and they are not in Xlights. Thank you!

I ran into this same problem. I had a tune to sign from boscoyo, but xlights didn't have the model with my numbers. There are a few different ways to make custom models, but I'd recommend using this website www.lightshowhub.com/tools/xlights-custom-model-builder It's free, you just need an email to sign up. It allows you to import a picture of your model, then you can use the cursor to select where the pixels go and how they are wired. Once you're done, you can export it as a .xmodel file, then import it into xlights. Hope this helps!

Hello, Do you know if I can use a 4 output controller from holiday Coro for a display that would have 4 arches that are 200 lights total and a small mega tree that has 400 lights total? running at 30% brightness. I don't know how I would configure that into lights. having port one be the four arches connected together. and port 2-4 being the tree. But I don't want to power inject. Thanks

So if I were you, I would put all 4 arches on port 1 like you said, then put the mega tree on port 2 and 3. You shouldn't need 3 ports for a 400 pixel mega tree. That would leave you with one extra port if you want to expand in the future. If you put the tree on 2 ports, that would mean 200 pixels a port which should mean you need to do no power injection. If however you have 5v pixels, or run the lights higher then 30%, you would need to power inject. Now like I said before you can setup your show however you want, but I would recommend getting a controller with more than 4 ports for the future. Last year for my first show, I only needed 3 ports with one port having power injection. However, I paid an extra $75 for a 16 port controller instead of a 4 port one. Now this year I'm going to use 11 ports for the show. If I didn't buy the bigger controller, I would need to buy a whole new controller this year for around $200. So if you plan on expanding in the future, you may want to consider a bigger controller. I hope this all helped!
