Great video. The wire part is the most difficult but you're right on - green/purple for power and black for ground. The instructions on where the clips were to remove the housing helped also. The whole project took me 5 minutes and worked perfectly for my 2016 Tahoe. Thanks for the video.

I've always done this as well and works great. This one is especially tight with not much room to work. I've now managed to break the tips off two mirror tap cords as the ground is ridiculously difficult to wedge the pin in next to the wire. I'll get it eventually. :)

I have a 2014 Terrain Denali, the sensor looks similar to yours, I just wanted to know have you had any problems with the power, is there risks to the electrical system doing this?
Havent heard of that. All i would say is try another wire thats up there that is hot while the truck is on. Maybe you got the auto dimming wire or something and it turns off while in reverse. Thats all i can guess. Good luck
