Great video. I've seen so many that were over complicated, but your was easy to follow. I did apply some minor adjustments by using electrical heat shrink tubing instead of the electrical tape. I know electrical tape can loose adhesion over time and so that can help keep the seal snug. Thanks man!
I've watched so many video's while sitting on the pavement in the driveway, with my lights partially installed, none of those video's were correct. Then this morning started the search again while having my coffee... first video that came up was yours... and you nailed it. Not sure why I didn't think of that myself, maybe too much sun.. One question I presume the Halo in the Fog lights will wire to the same tap? is a 10A fuse big enough? Thanks for posting this.
Viguy glad I could help! Yes, you should be able to also tap the wire for the fog light halos into the fuse tap. You could try running all four into the one fuse tap or you may be able to just get another fuse tap for the fog lights. I think 10a will be fine. I’m no electrician though lol
Super helpful but seeing the amount of damage the wire has from closing the fuse box lid I wonder if it would be better to get a small grommet and drill the fuse box instead just for my OCD.
Are they tabs or snaps? Or both? Also, I could pull the red tab out, but both connectors were still stuck. So I just rotated the whole fixture out of the grill. Good video, just my questions. I used conduit on my wires because mice are a problem here. Can anyone think of a useful place to mount the hyperflash resistors? Rather than just sink their heat into the chassis, maybe it can put the heat somewhere potentially useful?

Great video. I'm about to do this to my 2017 jku but I noticed some videos have the DRL light plugged into the middle wire on the blinker and some have the DRL running a red wire all the way back to the fuse box. Wouldn't running to the blinkers middle wire be an easier solution?
You could do that very easily with a wire tap! I just know a lot of people don’t feel comfortable cutting into existing wire just in case they mess something up. The fuse tap is a good option that doesn’t involve cutting/tapping into other wires
Yes, mine stays on when I put it in drive. I am not sure why yours would be turning off. Maybe try plugging the fuse tap into another auxiliary fuse port.
I just purchased some RGB LED headlights and fog lights, I was reading somewhere that because the particular brand I have the halos can only be turned on and off via the app. Someone had recommended in the reviews for them that an on/off switch be wired in to turn off the halos. Should this be necessary?
I installed mine and ran the wires through the turn signals so as to get the Halos to activate with the blinkers. My only question was that the high beams and low beams. I noticed the low beams (regular driving position) is brighter than the high beams (bright indicator on dash). Did you notice this difference or anyone else who has commented on your post?
Mari Cris Granade I actually have noticed that the brights don’t work very well on that specific set I bought off amazon. Fortunately, I rarely need to use them since the low beams are so bright
I bought all the parts needed at Walmart. Wired it all up just like you showed. The halos worked until the next day ? Do I remove a #10 fuse and put other piece with #10 in its place ? Not sure why it only worked for a day ?
You could check if the 10amp fuse is blown, but more likely the wiring may be loose. I would check all the connections and jiggle around some of the wires to see if it comes on again.
Sorry late to the party, but I saw you didn’t hook up the blinker wire. Did you do that off camera, or just decide not to use the blinker feature? I’m not sure I want the blinker feature, but do want “always on” DRL. No issues with skipping the link for the blinkers?
I ended up not connecting the blinkers because it involved cutting and splicing into the existing blinker wires. It is easy to do, but I didn't feel that it was worth it for me. Yes, the DRL works perfectly fine without connecting the blinkers.
I used the H13 adapter and also tapped into the signal lights. The headlights work great and also the signal light function, as required. I then plugged the cables that go from the Bluetooth module to each headlight. And then connected the red to positive and black to negative on the battery posts. As soon as I plug in these Bluetooth halo cables, the halo light up and circle through various colors, non stop. I connected the app successfully but I could not control or do anything in them app. The halo just keeps cycling through colors even if I turn engine on or put it in drive. Can anyone please help me with this?

I have followed the video and many others step by step and my daytime running lights simply don’t turn on. I have already wire the turn signals and they work.
Seems easy enough. Did you need to change your Jeeps daytime running light mode with a Pro Cal module or similar? Our Jeep is Canadian so wondering how I can tell vehicle to only turn on Halos as my DRLs? Going to try install VisionX LEDs/Halos.
K Brand if you connect everything like I show here then you will not need to change any of the Jeep settings. The halos will always turn on when the ignition is on. I also have a Canadian Jeep so my headlights are always on whenever the Jeep is in drive, but this setting doesn’t affect the halos at all. The daytime running light settings on a JK only affect the actual headlight. The halo is technically running through an auxiliary fuse. So if you do choose to turn off the daytime running light mode that is typically set on Canadian vehicles the halos will still work. A Pro cal module will allow you to do that. Hope that helps!

K Brand The wrangler daytime running lights mode will turn your low beams on whenever the vehicle is in gear. So if you only want the halos to be on during the day you will need to turn off your jeeps daytime running light mode. At night, both the halos and low beams will be on regardless because the halos are set to turn on whenever the key is turned. So even if your daytime running lights mode is off the halos will still come on as daytime running lights because they aren’t affected by that setting. They are setup to get power whenever the key is turned in your jeep. I hope that clarifies it for you! Let me know if you have further questions.

Yesterday swapped out the grille for a funky one and installed VisionX LEDs w/halo...did your direct wire to fuse tap trick and disabled my DRLs with Procal module...now have Halos during daytime and Halo + low beam LEDs at night...looks and works awesome...couldn't have done it without your video
Can I just take the front grille instead of having to remove the fender liners and bumper and stuff it’s a whole process to just install halo headlights to remove the stock reflective headlight housing.
I have installed halo fog lights that match my head lights and they arent coming on at all. Any ideas I know how to turn them on and I know if they are on high beam they won’t be on either. I bypassed that thought with an obd2 and the app.
I'm not exactly sure. It's one of the auxiliary slots. I just use that large white fuse as a reference. If you look at the picture of the fuse box in the video that should help.
My halos works fine when jeep is off, but when I turn jeep on high beam and low beam turn on instead of drl have turn switch to 3 rd position, but cant get just the halo to work just when jeep is off
Hunberto Lopez it sounds like your DRL setting on your Jeep May be on which causes the low beams to come on when your are in Drive. The halos should be set to turn on whenever the Key is turned in the ignition. You’d need an AEV procal to disable the headlights from turning on whenever the Jeep is in gear.
@@steveschillero2013 I'm not in drive. ,when jeep is off I turn light switch to every position and all work fine, I leave light switch in first position and halos are on only,,I turn jeep on and halos shut off and low and high beams come on..I can not get only drl to work by themselves unless jeep is off..why would they work fine with engine off and not while running
Assuming the wiring connections are good, I’d maybe try plugging the fuse tap into some other ports. If you can find one labeled “auxiliary” that would be most likely to work.
There probably is some type of power regulator out there that you could splice in to potentially dim the lights. I’m not totally sure though. I really only do very basic electrical stuff on my vehicles.
