Thanks for making this video! I have the exact same CT Sounds speakers and amp. Same split box as well. First time I've ever wired car audio to this extent. Now I know my wiring well be right!
Was looking for a video to help me out with how to do my wires for my speakers. And yours is the best one ☝️! Thank you so much for making this video I’ve subscribed now.
If the box I have has 2 seperate terminal cups for my subs...how would i wire those to get to a 1 ohm load? Do i need dvc 2 ohm or dvc 4 ohm subs? Thank you
Wow man thanks! Question. I’m doing the same set up. Inside my box it came with 12 gauge speaker wire…..but the wire kit I got for it from Skar is 16 gauge from amp to outside of box connection. Is this ok?
What if I have 2 terminal cups I want to use ..and I want to run two 2ohm subs to to a mono block with 4 subwoofer inputs ....I want to run them at 2 ohm final ..does my amplifier covert it by itself? If this makes sense..
Okay. I have a question. I have a diamond audio technology D3 600.1 mono block amp with two positive and two negative. I put a speaker to each. I have two 10" Massive Audio GTX104 1400 w max dual coil subwoofers. What would be the best way to run the wires for these subs, series or parallel?
I’m sorry I have a jl hd 750/1 and have a 13tw5 2 ohm sub but my box has room for two. Should I just get another 13 2ohm or can I get a 13 4 ohm? Don’t know what’s best. Hope you can help me.
I have two dual 4ohm 8" Sundown V3 500w RMS... I'm not sure if i need a mono or 2 channel amp & also what wattage the amp needs to be. i tried looking online but some say it needs to match so 1000w amp for 2×500w subs but some say it has to be 1.5/2× the amount of watts 🤷♂️? Also what ohm load it needs to be... i have a custom made LAB slapbox designed for the 8" Sundowns... Any advice on what amp(watts) and what ohm load it should be?
Question: If you used a parallel series parallel pattern, would it make the same set up? That's what the math is seeming to say to me. I don't know what the difference would be if the outcome was still One ohm, just a thought I had🤣
I have a Ford Econoline van and I want to do I set up with to a 8 inch subs and the room I have under the back seat is 10 in high 38 in wide and 24 " deep and I tried them websites to build a box and I don't understand it so I was wondering if you can help me calculate what I would need and I would want it ported and not sealed
If you mounted terminals on the box for each coil wouldn't that make it easier for experimenting with different setups so you can you don't have to pull the subs out in other words to change wiring configuration, from either series to parallel, I hate having to pull the subs to change it especially if you're just experimenting and testing the differences and bouncing back
So which woofers hit harder Skar or CT? Is there really a noticeable difference between them? I want to put 4 skar d2 on my 2022 silverado 1500 but don't want to upgrade alternator or get extra batteries. What do you recommend?.
stay under 1000 watt in a class d amp and you should see vary minimal dimming in light when the bass hits with out any upgrades to the elec system if you do class a/b only 200watt cause 400 to 500 watt will dam near make the light go out lol the pains we delt with in the old school days was real hehe
hi good video small question no one is answering me I have 4 jbl stage 1010 subwoofers which each melt 4 ohms I want a connection for a taramps 800.1 amp in 1 ohms can you tell me the connection? thank you😮😮

I own a 20 silverado crewcab and car audio is my thing i got 3x12 scar under my backseat my truck pounds there wired to 1/2 ohm wolfram 3000.1 articwolf anniversary eddition my doors have ds19 6x9 6x5 and a cerwinvega 3.5 x2 in dash and ds19 horn tweet mounted in the floorboard plastic under a/c all i need is a spare battery spare battery big 3 make a 100% diffrence on how ur sys sounds its night and day and gunna get that today i built my sub box and have it tuned to 32hrtz my scar subs are 32 hertz and pushing mids and highs is ds19 600 4 channel amp
Hey bud, will you need to put some wire mesh covers over them to prevent the kids from accidentally kicking them getting in/out of the truck? Does your truck have the Bose system and how are you going to connect the speakers/Amp to that system? I've heard that you can't do it at all? I have a red 2021 High Country Tahoe with the Bose system and would sure like to add more speakers and Amp for some bass!
I’m a complete noob to this and was wondering if you could help me out I have 2 4 ohm 500 watt peak 12 inch subs and a 100 watt amp and my moms bf wants to wire it so it’s 2 ohm 650 amp
You said something about not ever being able to get a dual voice coil to the same ohm load as they start and that's not entirely true. You can run each voice coil to their own channel on the amp to get the same ohm load. So if you had a 4 channel amp and 2 dual voice coil subs you could run each voice coil to it's own channel and get 2 ohms on each of the 4.
Turning all 2ohms speakers into 1 ohms would not sound great. The higher the ohms the better the sounds so it would be better if you install a 4 channel amp and connect all the speakers individually the get the best of all speakers
