Step-for-step instructions on how to replace the ignitor on your patio gas braai
The ignitor creates the spark that ignites the gas to create the flame. Always check the battery first if you have replaced the batteries and there is still no spark, it’s probably time to replace the ignitor.
1. Unscrew the module cap and plastic nut.
2. Disconnect the wires from the module.
3. Remove the old module and dispose of it safely.
4. Take the new module and unscrew the cap and plastic nut.
5. Attach igniter wires to the new module.
6. Insert the new module in the correct position and screw the plastic nut until it is secure.
7. Ensure the plastic is removed from the new battery before inserting it into the module.
8. Insert the battery with the positive side towards you and screw the ignitor button on the top.
9. Press to make sure it ignites.
