Much love on this video. Great content. However, I gotta level with you, your mic placement just doesn't work. It's so distracting I wanna click off. Get it up and outta frame, or drop it to the usual spot. Apart from that, excellent work.
Agreed. Surprisingly distracting, and yet so easily fixed too! Personally I also prefer it when the interviewer and interviewee are looking into the camera rather than being sat at an angle... otherwise it feels like I'm not a part of the conversation. Especially as the other guy was looking in to his camera, so it felt like he was talking directly to me.
Thanks, very useful, please lower or remove the background music, very distracting got to point had to leave. Good information and nice interview though 👍
Jamie, thanks for doing this vlog......it was great to get guidance and identify where I am on script writing.....its really handy to have nice clear 6 bullet points to follow for my next step in development on RU-vid!
What do I really think about this video? I found it through researching script writing and found it to be excellent in all aspects, pace, content as well as delivery techniques. An all round great video. I will certainly be saving it for future reference as I have a lot to learn from this........ Just a thought, it would be an amazing and an interesting project to adopt a very small niche subject channel and conduct a step by step guide on how to pull it round. Thank you for making and sharing this content.
As someone watches a lot of videos, there was two ways I subscribed, one of the youtubers gives drawing lessons and he says in the beggining of the video something like "all of this for free? no, all I ask is a like and a subscribe" it made me think "wow yeah this is really good concentet for free". The other one was the diary of a CEO where he tell us that most of his viewrs arent subscribed. So one of those times I did ;)
Hey, just to give an example of a CTA working, I've been watching the RU-vidr Lathland for Years now an he plays very niche videogames, mostly builders of some kind, ever since he started making massive hour and a half long videos (movies as he calls them) his views shot up. The whole pitch is that he plays a whole playthrough of an extremely hard Game (From the Depths) which thakes 10-20 hours and cuts it down a lot. After about 10 minutes of the video he does a 1-2 minute long CTA which works well. He is very niche and has a very loyal and long lasting fanbase
This video is useful but it’s painfully slow. I recommend speeding up the clips 10%-15% faster in post, as long as it doesn’t look obvious you sped it up or sound bad (pitch changes). Simple tweak to keep your audience more engaged.
@@JamieWhiffen Actually I'm planning to create a channel soon (I will notify you here after publishing my first video), and you just teach me use my audience NAME in comments' reply. So Useful, Thanks So Much AGAIN.
Thank you for this important video. Appreciate if you could change the background music seeing that the guest is very calm himself. I found myself drifting often when I really want to concentrate but I can’t help it.
I loved this interview and how it was edited with all the visuals and stuff. I think this video will help me a lot for my YT journey. Thx a lot! Cheers, Daniel.
Thank you for a great video which gives me many take aways. I am having trouble remembering what to say, if i only rely on bullet points, and as you mention if it is all scripted, it is not the way i usually talk. Any advice for an ADHD'er like myself, who is struggling to remember the script, without a teleprompter and fully written lines ?
Dude, interviewee knows his stuff, but this piano music background was a really poor option which has nothing to do with the theme and distracts the hell out of the audience
I agree. 100%. Piano is a percussive instrument and the note placement interferes with the spoken words, giving a version of stuttering, and it’s incredibly distracting. I’ve had to stop, back up, and go forward again too many times, and eventually I just lose the message, which is followed by losing interest. I do appreciate the information, but I’m not going to fight the interference of the piano for it.
The music is painful and this script writer isn't very compelling as a speaker/ performer so it's hard to pay attention to this one and stick with it. I'm trying to learn but struggling a lot with this music
