The guests are seated, the cocktail hour is over, and it's showtime. Your first task - Ensuring the bridal party and the couple are ready to make their grand entrance. Line them up outside, put them in order, double-check those names, and make sure to check if they are coming in on one song or separate songs.
Cue the music with the dj and get ready to hype up the crowd!
Introduce the Wedding Party into the Reception
As the DJ kicks off the music, it's your time to shine. Rally the guests, ask them to cheer, introduce each couple in the bridal party, and space out those introductions for maximum impact. And when it's time for the newlyweds to make their entrance, get the guests to stand and spin their napkins.
Housekeeping
While the wedding party are settling in. Introduce yourself, welcome everyone, and don't forget those important housekeeping details - like where to find the bathrooms and emergency exits, wishing well, photo booth, and smokers area.
Formal Welcome
Now, give a shoutout and welcome to those special guests who aren't part of the wedding party but are still near and dear to the couple's hearts. Keep it brief, but make sure they know they're appreciated. This would be parents, grandparents, people who have traveled, and any special guests that need a mention.

A quick trip down memory lane may be fitting, especially if it wasn’t mentioned in the ceremony, for example if it was a church wedding. So Recap the couple's journey - from how they met, and maybe the proposal story. Keep it concise, though; you don’t want to steal all the speech giver’s material!
Introduce The First Speaker
Wrapping up your introduction, it's time to introduce the first speaker. Give them a fun introduction, get everyone to cheer and clap as they come to the front, and pass on the mic.
