I just turned 16 last month and I really want to work despite everything that is going on in the world. I'm working on my resume right now and I had no clue what to write lol thank you!!
As a Mexican with undocumented parents no one ever told me about needing a resume for a job this helped a lot thankks I just would of wished my parents pushed me in getting a job at 16 the only thing I regret in life 2:46 that gave me hope 💙😂
This is so great! As a high school teacher with limited lesson plans for teaching career exploration to high school students (many of whom are already working), I am thankful for sites such as yours. I appreciate you!
Thank you so much for this. I teach high school Spanish III. Our current unit focuses on job applications, resumes and interviews. While I am supposed to do the work in Spanish, YOUR VIDEO relates to my students, and you are 100% what they need to hear and see.
Yes Bri! Love this topic girl, very educational and beneficial. Volunteer service is a great thing to also include on resumes, I have that on my resume as well! Amazing video, love your positive vibe and realness! Love the tip at the end, Knowledge over excuses, love this motivational, powerful statement!
Where was this video 2 years ago when I was in school 😭 lol but girl this was great. I’ll make sure to have my sister use this video since she’s in high school 💯Keep going love
Great job! I’m sure someone is going to use this info. I had to talk a class which helped me with how to write a resume and cover letter. Very easy to do👍🏾
Don’t cry sis! You don’t need experience as a baker in an entry level job. Create a resume that includes the experience you’ve gained at home and also create yourself a portfolio to show during the interview! You got this! Email if you need more help.
You can also start at Kroger or Walmart in their bakery department. No experience needed. Stay for a year and then move on to your dream bakery job. Hope this helps.
I am a Highschool student in grade 10 and I have struggled with doing a resume for quite some time now and every time people try to help me it never seems to work but tho video was a real changer for that and you explain things very well so I extremely appreciate it even if I don’t land the job keep up the good videos if you still. Do these typa ones
Great question! Sign language can definitely be added to your resume as a second language. For many people, sign language is someone’s primary way to communicate & it’s needed in the workforce.
What do I do for my 3 reference people? They can’t be people I’m related to. I am 15, a freshman, no work experience and applying for a lifeguard position. Please help
Hi, I would ask my teacher, a close friend of your family who’s an adult, if you took swim classes, your swim coach. If you have a community pool, you can ask the head lifeguard to watch you swim and write a letter about your expertise in swimming. Hope this helps!
@@BIGSISTALKwithBri thank you! I have reached out to some teachers! I also have a question, should I just type my resume and cover letter on a google doc? Or something else?
@@taesheppard8812 I like to type my cover letter and resume in Microsoft Word to check for spelling and have the correct indents. Google docs format is different when you print.
@@BIGSISTALKwithBri thanks! This really helped me! I’m almost done. Just stuck on the experience part. I never really did volunteer work or anything related to lifeguarding
@@taesheppard8812 I’m glad I can help. Since you don’t have work experience, focus on the skills you have to be a lifeguard. For ex.: -Ability to stay calm under pressure -Ability to enforce swimming pool rules -Teamwork -Great communication skills -Ability to determine potentially dangerous situations I would also see if you could take a CPR course online.
I recently turned 14 in March and I know my gpa is not good at all and I also am not an extrovert but I do want to put effort into making a good resume do you know any other things I could put on there?(I’m in yearbook and theatre but I don’t think that will help with the job I’m applying for which is a sports aide)
Thanks for video does this apply to college students too? Also if our email name is taken do u recommend us just adding numbers to our name or something else? Ps cute hattt 🎩
This will also apply to college students. If you've done work study, you can also include that as work experience. I would definitely recommend using numbers but not the last four of your social or your birthday. I see that lot and that's not safe.
This was some great advice and tips love this You did a great job maybe we can support each other I will most definitely subscribe to your channel let’s stay connected 💕
