Thank you so much! You just helped me a lot with how to do a research paper. I followed your guidelines and got a 98/100 on my first paper. As a returning student at 55yo, and forced to get my BSN (I’m a RN) in a year’s time, I felt at a disadvantage. The program is all research papers online. I hate writing with a passion but your video really helped me get started and face that fear of writing (all APA style). Thank you again. A grateful nurse
I am a retuning student as well I have to write a research paper for my History class and I am so confused, I agree with you this video is very helpful I will get started now.
Thank you to all of you who watch and support this channel! Best of luck to you in your new semesters. 🎉 Don't forget to join the Smart Student Facebook group! facebook.com/groups/communitysmartstudent
Thank you. This has really helped me to get started. I have been out of school many years. I am not too familiar with these online classes. Your videos really help this 65 year old student. Thank you, again.
Really appreciate the amount of humour you inject into these videos about academic stuff. Helps in learning the material better, I believe. Thank you so much for these!
I am studying criminology and psychology and am currently writing a literature review, I started watching your first video on that before realising I didn't have a research question at all, even though I'm about to start writing! Thanks to you, I now have a question: How can the healthcare system improve for 16-24-year-olds who struggle with clinical depression? And I just want to say thank you because this really helped me!
This video was helpful to me. I am about to write my research question. haven't attended school in 30 years. It is challenging however, I'm not giving up. Thanks, Smart Student.
Hey Chelsea. My teacher recommended your video. You make it look so easy. Lol Going to try to write my research question now. Thank you for this. I’ll keep you posted on what I choose. My topic is “environmental issues” btw. 😊
I started studying media design in November last year and the introduction to scientific work has truly been a hard one for me. Your videos help a lot! Greetings from Germany.
Thank you so much for watching and supporting this channel! Best of luck to you in your course work. Here is the Facebook group if you'd like to join the Smart Student community. If not, welcome to the channel regardless. Best of luck to you! :) facebook.com/groups/communitysmartstudent
Hi Chelsa, I watched a couple of videos and contents are so rich!! Thank you for coming up with such great topics. If you could keep the background music's volume lower, that would really help to stay focused as it kind of adds to 'noise' after few minutes, personally.
Absolutely! Thank you for the feedback. It’s very helpful. This is an older video and the volume level is actually something I’ve worked to reduce in newer videos. I’ve also added variety is songs so it’s not the same noise playing over and over lol thanks for supporting this channel!
Great job. You are directly helping thousands of people, and more than a million indirectly, I am sure, in their new and difficult journey of research.
Hello Chelsea, I've always come back to your channel for assistants with my APA formatting and I just started a new class HIS-100 at SNHU and my Professor linked this video I thought it was pretty cool seeing you as a supporting material for my class
Hi,Chelsa - Ntebaleng Pitso in South Africa, you make everything so easy - not your first video I watched ,even the Literature Review and really I made it!!Thanks
Thank you so much for your videos! I tend to go too big and your videos help me narrow down my thinking. For my qualifying paper literature review I’m thinking, “How does trauma sensitive training impact educators’ mindsets?”
Thank you so much for creating this video! I am wresting with my question because my professor says my current one is too broad. What do you think of this instead: How does untreated mental illness lead to homelessness?
I am currently studying Social Sciences and History and both courses required me to write a research question. My Soc. Science topic is on four advertisements. I had to write a research question relating to at least one of my advertisements. My History topic is the Stonewall Rebellion. Here are my research questions for these courses: Social Science: How do advertisements in the media that focus on human rights and equality affect social change in society? History: How has inclusion and equality for the LGBTQ+ community changed public institutions such as bars, clubs, and other businesses as a result of the Stonewall Rebellion?
Thank you for your fruitful videos. 1. Do we have to write more than one Research Questions. Or one RQ is enough? 2. If I wanna write about MOOC, what will be the best RQ for this topic? If I’ll highlighting the MOOC impacts I’m higher educations?
No matter where I am in my Undergrad Public Health studies you are my go-to source for information! Thank you so much for taking the time to share all of your knowledge of how to survive in college. I feel you are working with me for success and I never feel you are just speaking "at" me. Thank you again.
My research question is this: What is involved in quality care for autistic children from a parental perspective? This research question was suggested by my instructor in my research design and methods course for my master of arts in human services degree. Please let me know if it is a good research question and how can I find resources for it. Thank you very much!!!
Hi chelsa, love your videos I wonder if it is possible for you to make a video about the correct way to find sources that are relevant to the subject we are writing about. it is really difficult and time consuming to just blindly navigate the internet looking for sources that contain usable materials. much appreciated
Hi there! Thank you for watching and supporting this channel. I really appreciate it! And that's a great suggestion. I'm actually going to be making some videos centered around research in the month of February. I'll add this to my list and see if I can work it in specifically. Good luck to you!
This was a huge help to my research question, while at SNHU. I came up with the research question "Did the explosion at Chernobyl in 1986 contaminate the drinking water in the surrounding area?"
Thank you for your very informative and useful videos. Professor offered no guidance on how to write a Literature Review. I didn't even know I need a research question. This was my first question, is it to complex or too broad?"Can teaching altruistic traits at a young age decrease mental health in teenagers"
Thank you, for this tutorial. I have a research paper to write for my Master Education program which due end of August 2021.I was having trouble with writing my research question for the Research paper and Literacy Review. What do you think of this question: What Effects does Dyslexia have learning process of preschoolers.
Thank you for this video! Wondering if "What are the effects of different substance use patterns among young adult artists" is a good research question?
Would these 2 research questions work for my topic which are THESE ARE THE TOPICS IN MIND 1. Legal issues connected with cultural context 2. Analyzing law enforcement’s misconduct, the use of excessive force, and social injustice in Baltimore: Is it effective? RESEARCH QUESTIONS 1. How have political and social factors affected overall patterns of justice in Baltimore since the death of Freddie Grey? 2. How have the citizens of Baltimore dealt with the theme of excessive force, social injustice and misconduct by law enforcement?
What socio-political factors have obstructed the success of lasting independence in Haiti, and how can they be addressed to ensure a stable and thriving future? is this a good question or is the two parts more confusing or too much?
I see a lot of papers, blogs, and videos on “Good Research Questions” and I see a lot of information on “Designing Questionnaires”, but I don’t see anything on designing questionnaires to answer your research question. Might be a good topic for a video.
Thank you for the information, a great help for me. However, just a simple request, if you can speak louder and SLOWER for clear reception, hence some last words were spoken fast and I could hardly understand...
Thank you so much for this video. But I would like your suggestions and feedback on my research question, I'm struggling so bad doing Psychology. "How to prevent age related declines for people living in rural areas"?
The way I look at it, the statement of the problem is used to form the research question. The thesis, then answers the question while stating a solution to the problem.
What effect does infrastructure have on companies who would like to begin operations in mining? What effect does infrastructure have on countries who would like to develop their mining sector What are some challenges that may affect the development of mining infrastructure What effect does modern infrastructure have on mining operations profitability and productivity?
Initial research question, What are people trying to do or say when they cause or try to create a political revolution? My revised research question, What are people trying to do when they try to create a political revolution?
This seems a lot more authentic as an explanation of the reality and practical steps required to concoct a research question. Seems to be, you neither want too niche nor too well-researched (overdone). Searching to assist daughter in final month of Psych Degree. The inability of her tutor to do this, makes me think the tutor is deficient in the skill in the first place. Students pay enough, and lecturers get paid reasonably well if we include pensions and other benefits. Not the best, far from the worst. Students kept universities afloat during the SARS-2 pandemic (‘COVID’), and really could all just sue for the rotten service they got during that time, or have postponed and left the Uni’s flat broke that year or two. I feel, tutors not up to the mark here. Thanks for this, will pass it on/share link.
Hello and thank you for your tutorial on how to write a strong research paper. I would love to win your prize computer as I'm 70 years old using a small Lenovo computer for school which is an added strain on my eyes and any help I can receive will be a blessing. Again, thank you, and have a blessed day.
My research: The impact pelvic floor disorders have on women after vaginal delivery. My question: Are women comfortable seeking help for urinary incontinence after vaginal delivery?
Research topic: Negative effects of gender equality on men: a case study of men in chingola. Research Questions: How is gender equality negatively affecting men in chingola? What kind of effects are they facing? Who is responsible for creating the imbalance in gender equality?
