Having been through this process I can say without hesitation this advice is spot on. It's a refreshing style and its correct that so many people get treated appallingly and then just quit. Take em on... The bullies usually end up running for cover as soon as you turn the organisations own policies and procedures on them ;-)

Hey, ive been discriminated at work by my manager who has been here for only the course of 2 months and hasnt given me a contract , been at my workplace for almost 3 years. I asked my team leader he said theres only one reason i dont think shes a fan of you , she dont like you from before , ive raised this to hr department and they are saying usual things like length doesnt matter , criticality however taking all this into consideration that is discrimination because my attendace is good, work is up to the highest standard so theres no reason for me not to get my contract and others who came way after me and are not better workers have recieved there contract yesterday

Last week my trainer terminated me because i did not pass an assesment, he said I was easily distracted but I can do my job and I know what to do. He said he will see if he will consider me it was up to him. Unfortunately he did not, he did not allow me to say goodbye to my colleagues, he was smirking and smiling while the hr was talking to me and I was about to cry, he took my ID in front of a lot of people they were looking at me. He didn't even gave me empathy statement. I am planning to file a grievance.

Hi Kyra sorry to hear you were treated like that. Unfortunately some people in management are not nice.

Great video. I'd like to find out if you receive a grievance about something that happened more than 90 days of the incident and they don't provide substantive evidence, is it valid?

Hi, if it is the senior management, i.e the director of the office who is also causing the issue and the grievance process is to raise it to someone senior, who would I raise it to? I am in an odd situation in which once I appealed one thing they are now making false claims and overly monitoring me?
@MonacoSolicitors
@MonacoSolicitors 4 года назад
Beth_ventures normally you’d raise it to the manager, but then any appeal would have to be to a different person, so they’d have to get someone from outside to hear any appeal

@@MonacoSolicitors Thank you. I am raising a grievance as well now anyway because I realise the new defamation/bad treatment could be considered not only disability discrimination but now victimisation since I appealed. Keep doing what you guys do. It is really helpful. Companies should not just think they are allowed to bully employees. ,😢

Not sure if anyone can help me here? I was working as a volunteer and very much enjoyed the job. A new manager took over and told me that I must work full hours as the staff do, but I have other commitments and can only work for a certain amount of hours each day. I have anxiety issues and I feel like I have been discriminated. What can I do?

Forza223 Bowe Hi there, thanks for your comment! Sadly volunteers have very little in the way of employment rights. But do you feel that you were singled out deliberately because of your anxiety issues?

Monaco Solicitors Hi, yes and this place was a disability employer too. Do you think it’s right that volunteer has to work the same hours as staff, despite not getting paid?
@forza223bowe5
@forza223bowe5 5 лет назад
I can explain, basically I can’t work full hours due to other commitments ( childcare issues) but not that I think it’s right, surely with volunteers it should be flexible?
@MonacoSolicitors

Volunteers don’t have a right to flexible working unfortunately. Sorry about that!

Hi Monaco, great advice. What if you have less than 2 yrs Employment with a employer (uk) and they don't answer / address your written greviences at all ? No appeal. Zip. I involuntarily resigned after mistreatment. My resignation was not accepted www.gov.uk (handling staff resignations) says an employer can't refuse a resignation with/without notice. The resignation was made verbally, clearly and unambiguously. Do I have a claim for negligence? They didn't follow the process of getting me to put it in writing and agreeing a "graceful" exit.

2020 2020 thanks. it’s tough when you don’t have the 2 years, especially if there is no discrimination or whistleblowing angle. Perhaps submit a subject access request.
@MonacoSolicitors
@MonacoSolicitors 5 лет назад
2020 2020 I take it that you’ve left your job? This makes it harder to negotiate an exit package unfortunately as there is no incentive for the employer to try to make it worth your while to leave

There are discrimination and whistleblowing angles. My SARs haven't been answered either. It's with Acas just now . I dont want to go to an Et. Thanks for replying.

You can always approach your manager like a human being as long as it does not cost them personally otherwise be human within reason but have an ultimatum ready if need be.
