I recommend using 1.5X speed for the coding section of the video. I don't speak fast enough, save some time. Enjoy.

It's great that we get to follow you explore this. I don't like super polished tutorials where you don't get to see them figure things out

LOL at the hour-long wild goose chase due to the window being zoomed in - I feel this with every ounce of my being

I'm loving the pace of videos.

That was great content! I also like that you don't increase the playback speed during typing as is often the case on other channels. This way It's easier for me to follow along, and I don't have to hit 'rewind' all the time.

actually i am very happy that you lost half an hour on a phantom problem, because this is what i do all the time. and it is somewhat a relief to see even senior developers are like that. plus, i had this crazy idea that if i am not lightning fast while developing, i am not a true developer. yet even though i do not remember the name now, i had seen a reality popular js library author being real slow while typing on a lesson about js asyncronous coding. he was not in a hurry. he was just really acknowledged about all the steps he took, and a solid theoretical base. i know it is crazy to write all this nonsense on your video but, when pressure that i apply on myself is low, i am happy with what i do and i am more likely to be productive on that session. just wanted to add if there are some other shy developers out there.

Thanks for the feedback. Most developers I know spend the greater amount of time thinking about what they should code, maybe even more than coding itself. Especially in F#. Writing the code is fast, thinking about everything can take more time. And yes, there is not much content out there to see if we are “good enough” i.e. writing code is normally something you do alone at a screen. It can be difficult to know if we are actually producing at an expected pace.

I would have loved to see you start everything from scratch with setting up the project from the dotnet new part.

I started from dotnet new safe basically, but at the time, the new template was not ready. So it was a bit custom, I did it off cam for that reason. I also swapped out Feliz with Sutil, I have the steps to do so in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E2xEauzPIzc.html

Hello. thank you made those videos. What vs extension do you use to format your F# code. What extensions are good for F# development.

I can't find how you got to the counter app. I looked in Ep 6. Has someone written a text tutorial?

It was in the description for Ep.6, you can find it here: github.com/davedawkins/sutil-template-elmish/blob/main/src/App/App.fs
