smosh introduced me to this game! as a novice dnd player who’s currently in a less narrative heavy campaign atm, i really wanna run a little dread session to satiate that want!! thank you so much for this video
You are so welcome! I'm glad it helped. Welcome to the tabletop RPG community. Good luck running your first session of dread, and I hope you and your friends have a fun time.
@@downtimeactivities945 thank you and glad to say it went well!! i used the camp blackmoon scenario and my friends came up with great characters. we used a fake jenga called jumbling tower (the rule was if you called it jenga you pulled lol-no one did tho) unfortunately the characters didn’t have as much dialogue with each other as I would’ve liked especially because they were all really interesting and some secrets about each were never revealed (to be expected ofc) 😞 it just got a little rocky for me at the end because they went in an entirely different direction of handling the BBG by throwing a MOLOTOV COCKTAIL at the haunted cabin instead of trying to placate the ghost and I had been trying for a little to get them to LOL along with this there was one moment where one of them toppled the tower on a pull, but i caved and let her live with sustained injuries which I know I probably shouldn’t have let slide… either way, we all greatly enjoyed the game and they all said they’d love to play again with more people!!!
Glad we could help! Dread is a system more people should be using for sure, and it ends up being a pretty easy system to run. Hope your game goes well!
