My favorite Brady trash talking moment. AFC Divisional Round for the 2015 season (played in January of 2016). KC vs. New England. Prior to the game (Gillette Stadium), Brady does his traditional jog down the sidelines to yell "Let's go!" at the end. Travis Kelce sees it and starts taunting Brady right at the end, jumping up and down and mimicking Brady.. Brady just looks at Kelce. Brady threw 28/42 for 302 yards, 2 TDs and 0 picks. Kelce is held to 23 yards on 5 catches.
Belichick and Brady were just an unstoppable force. They both loved what they did. Brady loved offense (obviously) Belichick loved defense (obviously) They both (later in their careers) would show each other things from their respective perceptions. (Say Brady wanted to to run X offense, Belichick would say, ok but check this out, this is what I'd do to you) And vice versa. They both deserve 50/50 credit for the 20 year dynasty. These guys literally sat down together for hours every day coming up with different formations, plays etc..... to try and out smart the opposing team. Even with those 2 (the best QB and Coach combo ever) they did lose some games. You can't win every game. Sometimes the execution wasn't right. Sometimes Brady would get hit, sometimes pats D would go too soft. But you know what? They made it work. For 20 years. Literally in the superbowl every other year (mathematically) Will we ever know the truth about Malcom Butler being benched in sb52? Probably not. But hindsight is always 20/20. These 2 guys were the BEST at their craft. And each pushed the other. Sometimes you just have a bad game (on either side of the ball) sometimes Belichick bailed Brady out, sometimes Brady bailed Belichick out. I'm kinda bummed that mahomes won his 3rd ring. I personally cannot stand the chiefs, mahomes, or Reid. It's fairly obvious what the league is doing. They don't want Belichick to top Shula. That's part of the reason he didn't get a HC job this year. Yes I'm serious. Unfortunately, i think they'll blackball Belichick. Why do you think the giants won in 2007? Belichicks defense held them to 17. (Which if you remember the last regular season game that year they played the NYG barely 38-35. Brady was getting thrashed all night. Belichick did hold up his end, not letting them score 20+ Just like the rams SB where Belichick did hold them to 3 points the entire game. And there's plenty of examples of Brady bailing out Belichick as well. But the "whose better" argument is moot. They're both the best at what they do.
So over 21 seasons, every other year = 10 Super Bowl wins? You literally don’t know what the word literally means. You mean roughly every third year. From now on think of using the word actually when you are tempted to say literally. Does he ACTUALLY win the Super Bowl every other year? No? Then he doesn’t LITERALLY either. Still pretty awesome.
He gets that same look in his eyes that MJ had against the Knicks in the playoffs and when Reggie Miller crossed the line with him. Both are guys I’d want to go be in a fox hole with.

Brady is the G.O.A.T period. Watch the Brady 6 on youtube and you see a guy that is already a hall of famer choke up about how painful it was to sit through that draft that nobody really wanted him.He has an Earth sized chip on his shoulder and it has served him well.
When Brady retires it’s gonna be such a great time for all the contending teams but it’s gonna be pretty sad man, almost 4 different decades of the NFL.
Tom has been playing for just over 20 years. How do you get "four decades" out of literally two? He's only barely older than 40. Something tells me that you aren't too good at math.
@@Criticalhitkoala again, Tom has only been in the Pros for 21 years. Even with four years of eligibility in college, that's still only two and a half decades. Neither you or he understands my point. HOW you say something makes all the difference. His career has played out across three different decades. "If" is a big word that means absolutely nothing. I mean, if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its ass jumping from lilypad to lilypad.

The NFL and many sports have traditionally been broken down into periods and decades. Like the "90's Bulls", and the "70's Steelers". What the op wrote is well within that context. What you wrote is exactly close to what the OP wrote. The Op wrote nearly 4 decades, because Tom just missed the cusp of playing in the late 90's. And yeah if my grandma had wheels she would be a bike, but we aren't making British Carbonara here.

Hey Mike thank you for all your hard work putting together these videos which are always of a high standard of production and often it seems like you on the independent thinker as much as you could be when talking about an athlete and I appreciate that you don't just perpetuate the same narrative you seem to have your own opinions and thoughts and you illustrate and demonstrate them very well and are very articulate thank you these videos cannot be easy or quick to make and I'm going to apologize about the lack of punctuation and grammar I cannot use my keyboard I have to use voice activated text and that makes grammar and punctuation prohibitively difficult and I sincerely apologize for the difficult read hope you understand.

My Jets ended took the Patriots out in the playoffs this year when Brady looked absolutely unstoppable. My favorite football moment ever. "CANT WAIT!" Love your videos man, your research always shines through. Think I'm giving up on asking for a signed Mahomes ball but I think it's really cool you're even doing that. Dear God I hated the 49ers back then. But Lott...oh that dude was a beast. Vicious. Definitely an all time great. I think it could be argued that Lott and Sanders combined to define the cornerback position. They are generally what players today seek to become. But of course Deion didn’t have the same type of character as Lott. Damn Ronnie was great.
Psycho Tom. He loves to compete!!!!!!!! He is on a different level mentally. He can pick any team at any time and dissect the defense. They are sticking together to try and run it back so now we will really see.
And currently 10-3 this season at age 44 and just made his 700th all time touchdown (counting playoff games for those wondering about his 600th for regular season games earlier).
trash talking another player doesn't always mean that the player means what he says, it's used by many players to build up hype for the game and get the fans excited about it.
This is why he called psycho Tom because when you piss him off he will get his payback and make you pay. That's why he's the best of all time. I also would love a Tedy Bruschi jersey if I win.
nice video with a thorough analysis by mike, but, as almost always, full of hyperbole... Smith's carreer lasted two more yrs... Mike you could be much better if try to avoid this. Brady did not destroy a carreer during that game, he destroyed the night of a rude opponent.
Remember that steelers safety every time we would play the patriots and he said he would shut down the patriots offence and he would get burned for 3 or 4 touchdowns in a game. If Brady was not a patriot the steelers would have 3 or 4 superbowls with just big ben. The steelers defence in 2000s and early 2010s was elite top defence in the game.

You mean to say that it is as psychological as it is physical. The psychological is the aspect that you are trying to emphasize, so it comes FIRST in the list of two.
Brady has given me decades of "I told you so" to everyone who doubted him over the years. I especially loved laughing at New England fans who thought Belichick deserved at least half the credit. I would reply "he's a great defensive coordinator, but that's where his greatness ends." New England's dynasty died the second Tom Brady left the team.

Pro Football Thanksgiving Day games actually started in 1930 w the CFL and the Sarnia Imperials . Detroit's 1st NFL Thanksgiving Day was 1934 as stated. Shaun Hill, U. MD was a serviceable good NFL for a half dozen teams for 12 or 13 yrs.

Tom Brady has always understood what makes a winning team and also knows a great player at any offensive position. After he was recognized by the football world as an elite player he had more and more influence (although behind the scenes) with the Patriot office. Brady has had deep influence on the starting rosters for 10 teams that went to the super bowl. So, yes he's an extremely good quarter back. But don't discount his influence on the front office of his team. That has been a big part of his success. After all, he went to Tampa and Gronk was made part of the deal largely at Brady's request. The Brady to Gronkowski duo will be the subject of a many episodes of future NFL Films Presents episodes. And if Brady and WR Evans can stay healthy...you could see some serious career yards put up by that combination.
