Repairing a Makita Nut Gun after being drove over by a 13 ton digger.
Customer sent This makita nut gun in after it was driven over by a 13 ton digger, after it was only taken out of the box.
This shows how tough and well built makita tools really are. busted casing, battery retainer and a few broken wires is all it takes to get this up and running again.
That's crazy strong.

Dean’s getting so famous, people are buying brand new nut guns and driving over them with a digger just so their tools get on the Tik-Tok

Wish we had some one of his capabilities over here most here just through them over left shoulder into the long Grass never to be seen again recon after watching Dean could have a go at my own gear but think parts would kill this. As well Big Cheers All

These machines are obviously made for the long haul. Servicability is manufactured into it, especially with the detachable ankle plate where a casing breakage is most likely and would render the yoke unusable. The fact that the casing took 13 tonnes and incurred plastic deformation without cracking is a testament too. Good job on the repair!

The ankle plate is only because its a heavy vibrator and protects the battery, sds drills, multi tools etc have them aswell

Only time a makita has let me down is when they get stolen .. thankfully that hasn't happened to me yet but my step dad has had it happen a bunch when he works out of state .

Now that thing was tough. Lovely job digging down to the board BTW. I bet they are impressed to get it back working 😊

Enjoyed that Dean, cheers. That’s a quality tool, for sure. Alloy fan, don’t see that often. And the sign of a serious Makita: transmission retainer screws tapped into the alloy, not the plastic.

My son "dunked" (fully submerged) my 1/4" impact (compact) into an oil drain pan by mistake. It still works, but smells a little funny. That was 5 years ago. I'll always believe in Makita

I’d love to see a display board of destroyed tool parts! The really bad and bizarre damaged ones. Put a tag under each one mentioning the brand and what caused it. Perhaps people could send pics of their blown up tools just for fun . At the end of the week, you could do a short vid showing them. Just a suggestion. 😊😉

I love Makita, but I also love dewalt and I had a smart ass coworker run over my dcf 900 with a cat D10 and it's still running, the clam shell has a big crack now though. I also agree, Milwaukee couldn't take that kind of abuse with the plastic inners they have

awesome job keeping it out of the landfil. Where do you buy your spare parts. Everything I seem to find is ridiculously expensive. Making it not really economicly worth replacing parts sadly.

Good repair of a good tool. Although some ultrasonic cleaning of that battery cover and a bit of metal retainer plates de-rusting would make this repair a perfect one.

The damage suffered would depend upon what kind of surface the tools was on - if it was on just regular dirt, the Digger would simply push the tool into the ground - Tracks don't 'grind' like tyres. If the tool had been on concrete, I'd be impressed and sceptical, given the amount of damage done.
