How Tough is the Team Corally RADIX 6? - [SKATE PARK FAIL]

So I took the Team Corally RADIX 6 for a Bash / Durability Test at the Skate Park, and because of my F**k up, it didn't fair well haha! But it is a very Good Basher, and being quite a bit cheaper than the Arrma Typhon, it's certainly worth a look. As for on a Track... it would be a beast!

That was great to see you push this buggy. You put this thing in the air alit more than other bash sessions, and only cuz you could see it would take it. Nice smooth control, amd with a lil adjustment this thing will be competitive!

Great vid Phil, we went our local skatepark, never been before but the "dirt" track hadn't seen any action for years and the park itself had some of those it's for skating only types. We did manage to take over a small corner so Sawyer got some jump practice,need something a bit bigger soon so if anyone can recommend a decent size 1/10 or 12 on the budget side too look for it would be appreciated.

I have a Corally shotgun, I agree with another poster that their springs tend to be a little too soft. Great review Phil, it's a nice buggy for sure

These are on my radar as a cheap larger scale. Once this lockdown business is over, we'll have to try and get a few of the locals together for a bit of an RC day. I know Car Pervert from the Late Brake Show is well up for a small crawlers day around Ketton Quarry if you fancy it? He's a big Tamiya fan like yourself :)

Yep agree with the difference of the Typhon and the Radix. The Radix or rather Team Corally changed the meaning of RTR (READY TO RUN) to READY TO RACE out of the box unit.Ideal for club race.Hope our local hobby shop in our country sell Team Corally brand.

Have you checked out the Serpent SRX8-E RTR? It's close to the same price. I haven't seen many reviews on it and I'm curious how durable it is compared to the Radix 6

Hi Tom! I just bought this beast, ran it on 3s and engine got a little warm, nothing crazy. Gave 6s a try and there is so much power, but I couldnt even tap my finger on the engine.. Any tips? Maybe stick to 3/4s?.. I already installed a motor fan. Thx!

Getting back into RC after 20 years…Did have an original Traxas TMax nitro model, loved the power but now looking at buggies but need advice before I spend silly money. Corally , Arma or HPI ?

That is a cool buggy. And that skatepark would be doable I think if there was grass to land on. I took my lc racing truggy to a skatepark recently and it took every jump I threw at it. Honestly it can out perform my Kraton 6s. It would be good to see the LC truggy having a bit of a bash on your channel again 😎

as a fan of Corally (the old one, before ProModels bought the company from Constant) i owned a few of them, still have a few of them including 2 HMX touring cars, a F1 and a 1/12 pan car, even did the computer work at the Corally international races in Dordrecht (back in the days of Oscar Jansen, Tim kolditz, and lots of others. now the indoor track in dordrecht is gone, PK model racing is gone, not sure if Merit racing is still around. Corally back then was big in pancars, they where late in touring cars and didnt do off road cars ( for the off road stuff i had a T.Tech predator and a Schumacher Cat2000) .. good to see Corally still around, but without Constant, its just not the same.

Quick question when cleaning your car at the end is that a sprayer your using ??? And at the end do you use a air compressor to dry ???

Garden/Weed Sprayer... and then a compressor for blowing the water off

Usually 40wt in the front and 30-35wt rear Phil, 10k oil in centre diff,7k front and 3k rear.

Geared mine up a bit to much just blew the 2 front tyres to bits in 30 seconds I also had the same issue with one of the front shocks going to go right through it get it right

I just thought to myself if this happened to you again next time take both shocks and split the oil between the 2 fronts then their would be enough oil for a good bash Do you think that would even work 🤷‍♂️ Providing you have brought tools 😊

Different cars i know, but what would you pick for general fun & putting the biggest smile on your face. Between the Radix 6 & the FTX DR8, bearing in mind as well the DR8 is around 60 quid cheaper.

Typhon 6s v5 is $499 when I look on Corally the Radix 6 shows a price of $632 did he get that backwards or am I missing something?

I seeing that the electrics aren't the best in the cars. The servo apparently dies fast. Not that it bothers me just something I'm seeing. Oh and your counting skills are epic. 1,2,3,,13,,,,20 haha

How would you compare this to the Arrma Typhon 6S? The Typhon can take a skate park. I have heard a couple people being disappointed in Team CoRally quality.

So if I say this thing can quite possibly smash the Typhoon, then Typhoon owners will actually cry there eyes out because a cheaper car can handle business. I have almost every crawler made and I still prefer my underdog Redcat Gen8. It’s a handler if you know how to drive.

totally agree If you want to bash hard I'd say buy a solid monster truck or truggy and be prepared to buy upgrade parts from the likes of rpm, t-bone, m2c and jbi etc. and leave the absoloutly ridiculous stupid stuff to the likes of kevin talbot. He can afford to throw away money.
