Too funny! I used to watch them come up for "health and welfare" inspections. First they give us the instructions of "don't go in your rooms" then walk so slow across the compound they would almost stop. Odd how that happens, isn't it?

Whats funny is this is why 4 legs were ditched. Seen that exact chair at an agency recently in both 4 and 5 leg versions and the consultant was shocked the 4 leg variants were still there due to liability.
Yes, it can be funny as hell. Did a long uncomfortable post check with one troop while his partner was in the bathroom. The thing was I knew his partner was in the bathroom with an “unauthorized guest”. I just acted like I was bored and had nothing better to do as I just kept talking to the airman, occasionally asking “You sure he’s ok” “what did you guys eat, Taco Bell?” I left without busting them out but the next night I needed volunteers to clean all the vehicles.
I once came upon a checkpoint with three people, but only two reported the post. When I asked where the third guy was, they said he was in the bathroom. I gently knocked, no answer. Open the door, and there he was curled in the corner with his a bag as a pillow. I took it easy on them, yelled, made them clean weapons after change over. But now 10 years later, it’s just funny.

Luckily my expediter was my tech school instructor and I told him i got to my dorm late (5am) after a hookup, roll call at 8 after a mock pt test at 530. He said "really?" I said yup. He said "carry on."
@@Sigil_57 can personally attest to this. Until one senior chief got a bug up his ass about it and had the chairs removed. Luckily by then I was one of the few dispatch qualified, and spent most of the time at the dispatch desk or in a vehicle.
We get issued folding chairs in basic and tech school. When we make E-4 is when we get a padded seat and E-5 on up we get the ones that recline and roll around.
I remember leaving a year long deployment and had to get on an air force bird to take us to Germany.. seeing the air force women with their makeup on and earrings in and if I recall correctly ponytails at that time too it was like seeing a woman for the first time 😂😂 she was probably real world 6 but at that moment she was a dime and I would have given her everything in my pants it ain’t much but it’s mine! 😂
After it fell I immediately realized she was trying to get it to fall out for the skit. They probably knew that happened with the chair and decided to use it in the skit. Then, during filming, she had to struggle a bit to get it to fall out. I’m sure they knew it fell out easily and the filming just didn’t go exactly as planned. Still okay enough where it’s not too noticeable.

and that is why you don't take your gear off. if you're gunna do it right, just unstrap the sides, and when flight chief comes, then all you have to do is put the side parts back in.

@@RratRemi Generally your notified where I am that leadership is coming and you just make sure to have the gear on before they get there, otherwise yeah it would be the IEC checking IDs who notifies everyone else if your posted at gate. Either way if you had any cadre like we did they made us do gear drills throughout training making us fully gear down then gear up in under 2 minutes to include elbow pads, knee pads, vest, helmet, gloves, weapons while still maintaining positive control so not letting them touch the ground, sometimes rucks, and what ever other gear we had.
@@lorddude123 No, usually ones that value their careers. A CSM only has to tell the CO one bad thing about an officer and they just got a bad write up on their OER. I learned early on not to tick off a CSM

When I was deployed, I needed a ride to the flight line to turn some gear in and got to hang out with Security Forces at their ECP while I waited for someone to come pick me back up. There was a blue truck coming, one of the dudes said OH SHIT FLIGHT CHIEF, opened their door, said Flight Chief is coming! And everybody was scrambling to put their gear on and throw away their DFAC trash. Funny how accurate this is
The beauty of this is... it never ends. It just keeps going, no matter the rank. Chief Scrambles from fucking off for the Squadron Commander, Squadron Commander Scrambles for the Wing King, Wing King simps for the Brigidier, Brigidier licks the precum off the 4 stars crusty old sack.

I can relate, during phase II exercises we would put a can on the entrance door of the shelter door, so when the can dropped it was our alarm to be in MOP 4! You had 9 seconds to put your gas mask and gloves on! Never got caught! 🤣
Soldiers: We know how to disarm our guns in seconds, protect the country and make a perfect bed but......when the head honcho comes around.....We forget how to get out of a chair, stand up, put a chair together and put our gear on. Lol

So this has also happened when a 1 star general made a surprise appearance. One of our guys noticed there was a 1 star heading to our unit and there was 2 NCO's at the CP and a 1SG just talking about his time when wet weathers weren't used in the rain or some shit. I got a call and the first thing I heard was "1 STAR 2 MIN" The first thing I yelled was. 1 STAR IS COMING HERE. I shit you not the privates and lower enlisted just fucken made a run for it to their quarters and some were even hiding in the fken latrines. Both of us were trying to organize the CP and set up the chairs to make it look up to standard and the 1SG was hiding all the shit in the lounge room that looked off and hid it in the garbage and some were just in the drawers. Those were the longest 2 min of my life.
