I think there is a real need for the kind of service that your sponsor purports to provide - pressing need even. Unfortunately anyone that labels CNN or ABC News as "High Factuality" is not credible right out of the gate. Regardless of whether or not they also label them as lean left. That is an absolute mislabeling and certainly not unintentional. It is in effect another layer of misleading propaganda. Fake News even!!
Russia early on claimed they entered Ukraine to defend themselves. So of course Ukraine can defend themeselves by entering Russia. You reap what you sow ... 🙂
It's hilarious that Russia entered Ukraine to defend themselves and take land but now they can't stop the Ukrainians from taking Russian land...this is crazy 😊

Jake Broe is kicking off another fundraiser, aiming for $1 million this time after his last viral campaign that only asked for $40k. The new video is titled 'Our Next $1,000,000 Fundraiser Starts Now - $1 Million for 1000 Days of War' If you can, please share the links. It's much appreciated.
Look at the two different populations. When Russia invaded Ukraine a bunch of Ukrainians took to arms. Ukraine invaded Russia. A bunch of Russians took to fleeing
@@JohnWick-stardawg That's from Ukraine's goofy draft policy. They were only drafting men 26 yrs and older. They just dropped it to age 25 years. Their logic was the young need to get educated and job skilled and maybe start a family. In some ways it has some logic to it, HOWEVER Ukraine is in a war for its life. They need to fight like it instead of approaching it like a part time job. In WW2 the USA went down to age 17 with parental permission (even 16 yrs old) AND they raised the upper age to 40 or older. The US and allies were in total war to save their nations by total defense. If I were the US president I'd lay down the law on Zelensky....either conduct a serious war by drafting & training everyone 16 or 17 or if they insist on a part time war then let them do that and see what happens. AND if I were US prez I'd deport any Ukrainian male 18 & older back home to fight. I'd give them a choice where they wanted to be dropped off....Kiev or Moscow. Ukraine is overdue for some tough love. When you have senior officers telling NATO trained troops to forget their training because "we know better how to fight", you've got a serious problem. The old lard asses are still stuck in Soviet ways, they're drunks and they are incompetent and that's all they know how to do better. They are just as dangerous as the Russians. Zelensky needs to take a fire hose to flush out the bloated worthless dead weight. I suggest US and NATO have advisors with clout looking over their shoulders on every decision. Either they learn or be suspected as a traitor, a Russian agent.
You still think Putin has endless numbers. He can't mobilise the Russian heartland. He doesn't dare to. The heartland of Russia, Moscow and St Petersburg WONT SUPPORT HIM! The going cost is now up to 2.5mill roubles just to join. Where are the huge lines at the enlistment offices to defend the Motherland? Where is the outrage of the n*zis in german tanks on sacred ground in spontaneous heartfelt demonstration on Moscow streets. Where are the militias preparing makeshift weapons, banding themselves together in solidarity with their army? Where are those random videos of small scale resistance? NOTHING. You want to see Z loyalty? Zero. Zilch.
It's genius tbh. All that Russian territory was just sitting there, nominally defended at best, and Ukraine wasn't making progress on the existing front lines at all. The logical next course is to open a new one, into your enemy's homeland, and force them to pick. Do they invade you further while your best offensive forces are out of your nation's borders on their own "Special Military Operation", or do you retreat and defend your homeland? It's a classic case of giving your enemy two bad choices and forcing them to pick one, because Ukraine can PROBABLY hold the lines in their nation while continuing to take ground as things currently stand, and that means that if they go north far enough before turning east and going clockwise around Ukraine, they could make a 50km buffer zone all the way from Kursk to Rostov, and completely route the entire Russian Military. Now that outcome is highly unlikely, but if Putin doesn't move enough forces to counter their incursion, it's a real possibility.
Yes, they started 2014 as the second strongest military in the world, to then graduate to 2nd strongest in UA in 2022 to now be known by all as the 2nd strongest in russia. 😂😂😂
To be fair, there's likely more than a few PMC groups inside Russia now and doing what they do at the very least as well; and both sides could always use a few "Capable Contractors" where deemed fit, so UKR could employ/hire their own as well. So Russia's probably 4th... maybe 5th? Definitely in the Top 10 best militaries in Russia, at the very least. Maybe...
23:44 "Russian civilians on the run is not something anyone should celebrate..." The millions of Ukrainians forced to abandon their homes would probably disagree.
Yup. Also, it's probably important to remember that those Russians do not necessarily have to flee with the same urgency as the Ukrainians did. We have yet to see another Bucha on Russian soil. So far, the greatest danger to the Russian population are the bombs dropped by their own aircraft.
Only those misguided people who are blinded by their hatred. As someone who has experienced war and the resulting harm/damage/suffering on the populace, the Ukrainian civilians should be the first to understand the suffering of Russian civilians, who share as much responsibility for what's going on as the Ukrainian civilians, namely ZERO!
@@jtl05And? Doesn’t justify wishing such things on others even if they are citizens of your “enemy” you Ukraine supporters are so naive and hypocritical.
Underrated how? Who is rating it and what is their scale based on? Stop tossing "underrated" around when that's not what you really mean, and you don't even know what it means in the first place.
@@RedTail1-1 Underrated can mean different things to different people, RU-vid is not a place where dictionary correct terms are used often, terms that are used in the popular way, are being used correctly, maybe not in the dictionaries view, or even your view, but the way he is using underrated, is still correct in the popular use of the term, and doesn't need defending.
Debatable. Alex is solid AF no doubt. Just the context of your statement isn't 100 fact. For instance, Sandbox does a terrible job....laughable even in their effort to help me better understand the Migration patterns of the East African Dung Beetle, or Astro-Physics. 0 out of 10 in either category, a desire of mine to elarn about and Alex is nowhere bear what I need in those categories. Yet I'm here. Agreeing to disagree with you only for the fact that these key strokes help to increase his algorithmic intensity. Peace be with the fallen
Then why is he wrong so often? He told us Russia was running out of missiles, out of tanks, that their pilots didn't have enough training to fly their jets... He was completely wrong about all of this and has never acknowledged it. He also has severe bias on numerous topics. Perhaps you do too.
@BusesAreFatCars Alex brings Sandbox with the same caveat that everyone has reporting here. Regardless, you know people like him are smart enough to not share everything they know with the public like this. Likely monitored for making statements that present security risk for current operations as well being a part of a community that works together to share concise information of not always clear enough. He is better than most at not speaking outlandish I ways like you referenced.
For me this has been my most sound and reliable reporting source of this coflict. You've brought nuts and bolts of a modern conflict to the average person in way they can understand. Unlike mainstream media
It reminds me of Vietnam when the military wasn't allowed to engage with neighboring countries that were clearly helping Vietnam and China grind down the war. The war was micromanaged so politically it hamstrung the military.
That's an accurate comparison...I remember LBJ saying, almost arbitrarily, as he pointed to places on his big map, "Can't strike here, can't strike there..." Remember the movie, "Flight of the Intruder?" Fattest targets were off limits...
As I recall, China's contribution to Viet Nam was to usually allow Soviet trains to pass through. Laos and Cambodia really didn't have the ability to oppose NVA travel if they wanted to do so. The CIA, on the other hand planted exploding cartridges and mortar rounds among the others in terminated logistics transporters. Cross border raids did occur without "official" permission.
Really?. Not engage? I went to Laos and they are still finding some of the massive number of bombs dropped by US on a largely peasant country. US bomb remains are everywhere even in remote areas
Yea - Ukraines many new troops have been trained to maneuver warfare, and they were loosing in the trench warfare. Russia could use its much bigger airforce as that is good at boming stationary targets. A moving army is much harder for them. So now Ukraine use moving and surpricing and confused russian soldiers that have no clear leadership. Is brilliant!
Hello Alex, I just want to say that I think you are doing an excellent job covering military news and its development, and your choice of words describing the many nuances of the news is phenomenal. The only thing that seems to be a little misplaced is your ending, your closing remark, or should I say, "your closing motto". Because you call your show or broadcast "Sandboxx News", it seems you would end with words more related to the description of your show. For instance, at the end, you often say... "Remember to click on that bell icon, so that you don't miss a 'drop' of sandbox news." Being that we are all like kids playing (being informed) in your virtual military sandbox listening to the latest military news and updates, when I hear the word "drop" I think of water! And surely, we don't want water mixed in with sand in our sandbox. So wouldn't it be better to use a word more related to sand in our sandbox? For example, would it not be better (visually) to end your comment or moto like this: ..."Remember to click on that bell icon so that you do not miss a 'grain of sand' from sandbox news!" It's that better? Lol, to me Alex, this is a better closing and relates to your broadcast's title description than the previous example. What do you think? I can also tell that it's important to you that you choose the right words that best illustrate the messages in your story narratives. With that said (written), I'm sure you will agree that my suggestion makes sense and that changing your ending word from "drop" to "grain" would be a better choice in your closing statement. However, you may never read this comment or consider my suggestion. At any rate, I want you to know that I enjoy your coverage of military news and you are doing a great job that can not be matched, and I do hope you continue to keep us well-informed. Again, thank you so much for your hard work, and thank you for your service. Sincerely, Robert Thompson😎
Nation has little to do with it. That's the idea of an autocratic/totalitarian state: the desires of the populace mean zilch, and there is ample mechanisms to make people do what is deemed necessary by the state.
Keep up the great reporting man. I always gather my news from multiple sources… but I have started holding you up as the standard to which all my other military news sources should be compared.
The second army in the world… Can’t defend its own borders 😂 and wasn’t it one of their excuses to invade Ukraine? To avoid Ukraine to invade Russia? 😂
They are also bringing a decent amount of Russian forces from more beaten down fronts, it remains to be seen how MUCH of those forces are being diverted but every little bit helps. On top of that if Putin ultimately decides to go for full mobilization and risk full rebellion as a result well.... every little bit helps. 😁
@@MarkBarrackthey havent gained nothing what are they gonna bargen for when they loose everything they have ? The reason for this little pr stunt is to get your attention away from the donbass, wonder why ?
We're 100% fine with the stock footage and the delay on the SR-72 video. Get yourself paid and thank you for your excellent coverage, even if the footage shown isn't directly relevant to what's being discussed
It's not just a protective self-defense special military operation. People need to realize that Kursk has always been in Ukraine's sphere of influence for millennia!
No. I am a strong supporter of Ukraine, but I draw the line at Putin-style ethnonationalism. That kind of thing is what NATO is supposed to stand against.
Very good report that appears to be well analyzed, well thought thru and presented without all of the "hoop-la" that other channels provide. Thank you Alex for a concise and factual report. Maybe you could do more like this one in the future?
Ukraine not only fiights Russia. It fights also a big sovjet stockpile, IRanian drones & missiles and Northkorean stockpile. And all of that with endless delays, shortages and restrictions from western partners - it's a shame!
It's criminal, professing unwavering support for UA and freedom, and at the same time drip-feeding aid, overvaluing its cost for the media, and placing limitations on its use to boot.
Same can be said about the other side, "Russia not only fights Ukraine". Remember, the west is only putting restrictions on their own gear which they sent.
@@andreivaughn1468 No. That's not true. Russia not only is the bigger country with self proclaimed 2nd strongest army, it has sovjet stockpile available too. Ukraine may have access to weapons and ammo from the west but neither in the same quantities nor at the same speed nor unrestricted. On top are the weapon systems of bigger variety. Handling a dozen different tank types, air defense systems .... is a huge challenge.
@@utrian4148 Why bring up a bunch of unrelated stuff? I don't care what rank the armies are, Ukraine is getting support from it's allies, just as Russia is getting support from theirs - this is true, there is no point arguing. if you want to argue about how much support, well that is a different story. Btw, I am pretty sure Ukraine (the second biggest country in the USSR), also has/had a stockpile of their own stuff from the USSR days, sure, not as big, but they also had a stockpile probably proportional to the size of their country in some way. I am not making any wider points, just stating the facts as I see them.
@@andreivaughn1468 Quantity matters. That is part of the facts. Ukraine gave up a lot of USSR stockpiles in 1994. Not only nukes but also bombers and other stuff. And it matters if You receive 1 million shells per year or 4 million shells per year. It matters if the biggest source of supply pauses its support for half a year due to domestic politics or not. Russians can plan their supplies. Ukraine always has to adopt to change in supplies. How do You plan a big offensive if You don't know which equipment will be available at which moment in time? The details matter.
@@mastermariner490 I believe the 447 goats had already been sent to DPRK by poo, to try to relieve their perpetual starvation issues. I know it sounds strange, but the shipment of goats to rocket boy is verifiable news. I personally think that the rather odd quantity was because the captured tiktok troops had their harems confiscated.
Surely the obvious objective is to flatten the defensive line through Rylsk ... which will benefit Ukraines lack of human, hardware and ammo resources? A straight line will be about half the length of the national border they have been defending up until now. Fixing Russian troops in the region, and having Russian territory as leverage in any peace negotiations is just added benefit.
Rylsk may be a worthy objective, but Ukraine is dropping the bridges south of that. Ukraine may intend to use the river as a barrier to protect their left flank. If they can move north and take Rylsk that would be great, but maybe too much to ask for at this point.
@@willbarnstead3194 They have existing troops all along that international border ... if they all move forward it becomes a squeeze as the front continues to shorten. Also, the current attack is already as far as Korenevo. Once that is won, the next big target along that road is Rylsk. Don't be surprised to see another axis opened from Kozino as soon as Korenevo is under Ukrainian control. If they can do both of those fairly quickly, there will be a lot of Russian troops and positions cut off from just about all support, and with no option but to surrender. The Rylsk battle could be difficult if the Russians abandon the rural posts and fall back to that in numbers, but even then, it's already in range of the closest Ukrainian border territory just 26km away ... right in the sweet spot for artillery.
About a week ago Anders Puck Nielsen made a good point about what one of Ukraine's objectives might be. He pointed out that Russia's offensive in the east has cost them a lot more men and material than it has Ukraine, and given that the offensive would end once their resources get too low or the weather changes it is in some respects in Ukraine's interest for Russia to stay on the attack for as long as possible due to that favorable kill/loss ratio... so by seizing Russian territory and digging in the gamble is that Russia would be compelled to stay on the attack for longer (to drive out Ukraine for the sake of their ego), all the while doing it on Russian territory rather than Ukrainian.
Wow. This maneuver was much more complex and extensive than I previously thought. The logistics and networks used to accomplish this task is also quite fascinating.
2022: Russia 2nd strongest military in world. 2023: Russia 2nd strongest military in Ukraine. 2024: Russia 2nd strongest military in Russia. SLAVA UKRAINI!
From that last story you told your squad or what ever size it was, I feel you would have fit in quite well with my soldiers in my squad as well! lol.... As always, good reporting and info. Keep up the damn good work!
Thanks Alex! I love all of your vids man. But these “Firepower” vids are just killer. I’d Love to see more! (I know it’s not Really the channels bag…but still. 😆😆😎👍)
Hey there Alex| Great video. One thing i'd love to see you cover is the possible establishment of a western European (including the UK) bolstering of all air defences with much better SAM systems. Apparently there is talk of some unification of these under the ESSI program, with the possible purchase of Arrow 3 SAM's as the outer 'shield'. I'd love to hear your take on the liklihood of this happening, and what you feel is the best way we could use our combined money on protection from all types of missiles is. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work, Jim
@RedTail1-1 you should tax things like that. That's why we get taxed so painfully. Over use of things that are free. Killing digital trees with all that hype my dude.
