How Virginia Won A National Championship

Virginia is one of the most stylistically unique programs in the NCAA. Despite dominating the ACC in recent seasons, the style has drawn criticism for post-season performance - most notably after last year's UMBC loss. The video takes a look at what changed, what stayed the same, and Virginia's overall road to a national championship.

Your narration style is so nice. Really well spoken, with the perfect amount of silence to just watch the plays

I've been following your UVA videos all season. Always feel like I've come away learning something that just enhances my viewing experience for the next game. And thank you for giving a name to the "boomerang" pass in the Blocker-Mover offense. I've loved that pass since at least the days of London Perrantes and Malcolm Brogdon, and I'm glad to finally be able to call it something. Great work!

Well done analysis of how UVA used its talent and various strategies to confront its opponents' best efforts. Helps show how Bennet's coaching, and the Cavalier's discipline, teamwork, and individual talent paved the way for UVA to go all the way this year.

Even though I live in ODU, Norfolk State, Hampton U territory, still proud of the Hoos finally getting that national championship, we will never witness a run like this again.

Nice video. If you need some more idea's for your NCAA video's until the next season begins.... I think top3 slobs and blobs against man and zone HC defence from this ncaa season are always nice to watch and a splendid source of info for all coaches out there, just like a top3 pressbreaker played this ncaa season. What is also a nice topic to discuss is icing in the NCAA. Why many NCAA teams do not use this instead of switching or hedging etcetc (I know TTU used it). What are also nice topics are top3 zone & man2man and zone offense you saw this ncaa season and why which is the analysis part.

Yes the defense against Duke game 1 was bad. But, did you see the 3 point percentage in the first time we faced them? We went something like 3/20. We struggled more on both ends of the court than just defense.

It's called luck dude they should have lost a Purdue but a buzzer beater and a Purdue blunder at the end save them, they should have lost to Auburn but but a foul call bailed them out, and and they definitely should have lost to Texas Tech but a mental lapse and questionable play calling at the end gave Virginia the championship. Nothing more

Tim Carpenter no way. Yes, in the Auburn game there was one bad call, but overall on the texas tech game, I know this since I was there, the refs were atrocious.
@timcarp1964
@timcarp1964 5 лет назад
@@eddiehardie8586 There wasn't just one bad call in the Auburn, albeit the missed double dribble is the most atrocious. Consistently the refs let Harper get the crap pounded out of him driving the lane, but then called touch fouls on the other end. I don't mind it either way, just be consistent.
@rock6606
@rock6606 3 года назад
let's not forget about the last play of the Purdue game! as cool as it was, there was a missed lane violation on the shooter. definitely some insanely lucky breaks for UVA in the tournament despite being the objectively best team in the country.
