But unfortunately that's litterally the only thing that killed wcw other than of course their issues with time Warner, is they had such a massive roster and these guys had ridiculously high paying contracts for the time that it couldn't be profitable. I mean at the end they still sold ppv and they had just as much viewership on tv as the garbage wwe has today.
@jd9119

@@spyderco329 But WCW didn't have any sort of media rights deals to be had. WWE's only keeping above water, because of that multi-billion dollar deal that is to be renegotiated on soon. @@lutherheggs451 My point was that Kane has win-loss record of 1-3 in his signature match and that, just like the point made in the video, it's pretty poor booking to create a specialty match for a wrestler only to have him lose said match. Obviously the guy with a full body outfit is going to be the one to be set on fire in an inferno match but still a very poor way to book a wrestler. MVP being the only other wrestler to have lost an inferno match because just like Kane back in the days, he wore a full body outfit that would allow him to be set on fire. I guess it's somewhat the equivalent of the "he who sets it up must take it" rule as the gimmick match was created for him but had to take the loss. I'm not sure what your point was, Taker has a 11-4 record for casket matches, 2-3 record in buried alive matches and an 8-6 record in hell in a cell matches where he only appeared in 14 of the 45 matches.

Worth noting: Lance Storm days to this day that the match with Awesome was one of the greatest moments of his life. Not even because he won; Jacques Rogeau was the referee and Bret Hart was in attendance. After the match the two of them raised Storm’s hands in victory. To have two living legends of Canadian wrestling in the ring with him had to be incredible.

Shaggy 2 Dope's "lithe, supple, frame falling to the concrete below" was the reason ICP canceled a show I was supposed to see later that month. Still not sure how to feel about that. Also, hearing Paul Heyman (PAUL HEYMAN!!) refer to Mike Awesome as a "WCW wrestler" really says a lot about their relationship.
