Good job. I'm a builder from the uk, where we let so much of our manufacturing go to other countries it is very hard to get quality built at home now. I recently wanted a heavy duty tool belt and tried half a dozen, all fell apart within months. I forked out for a beautiful piece of craftmanship from the USA and everytime I wear it I admire the craftmanship and materials. Keep up the good work guys. Made in the USA and made in Britain need to stand for the great quality that it used to!

I'm a mechanic in San Diego . I'm out in the sun and concrete all day and my boots get demolished, I constantly go through boots because non can handle the toe area scraping on the concrete every single time I have to go on my knees to jack up a car or place it on the lift. I also work rain or shine and the boots need to resist abuse . I hope this pair will do the job , looking forward to trying out this boot and getting the best out of this investment.

I have bought Redwing 100% USA-made boots since starting my electrical career, but I think my next pair will be Origin - Redwing, though venerable, is not campaigning and pushing for footwear to be made here, are they? I've never seen them take any time to make a RU-vid video - have any of you? Sure, they're great and admirable citizens, but Origin, you are SOLDIERS in the Global Economic WAR! On the frontlines!! After Looking through the comments I think it’s worth maybe considering some perspective on origin. They are slowly becoming a full line clothing brand that has things from shirts / jeans / belts & other stuff… but all of it is made in the USA and 100% sourced in the USA. It’s easy to argue that nick’s or white’s is doing that too and has been for years and has 100% USA boots … and maybe the duty level of smokejumpers exceeds the new origin work boot … but so what, there are different duty demands and different products to suit them. I am so supportive of origin because they are building a 100% American made and sourced line of products which will contribute to the return of USA production in a larger scale way. The NW boot guys are great and doing great things too… it’s just kind of a different business model and strategy in my opinion.

I love the idea of bringing it back to America! Hope others follow your path. Good job, this will be my next pair of boots.

Good luck, bro! Let’s make stuff again! I’m a 4th generation PNW native. I’ll never be one to veer away from my White’s, Nick’s, Frank’s, Wesco, and/or Danner’s. IMHO, these manufacturers are on a different level than the rest of the competition. My Smoke Jumpers use glue that withstands brutal temperatures and deserves the red lug Vibrams.

With nicks, whites and franks out west I've always felt there was a big void in the quality boot market on the east coast, hope to see yall start to fill that gap!

I love the made in America, job creation aspect. Being in a work environment where boots are on my feet for 10 plus hours a day, I would love to se a toe cap in the future for your boots. Toe cap helps alot with rigidity and longevity.

For those prices, the boots should have a heel stack instead of a hollow heel.

Bought my first pair in November of 2021. Absolutely love them. Watched all the videos about the company. Didn’t know anything about Origin until I saw a a Joe Rogan podcast with Jocko as a guest. Always been a Jocko fan. If it’s good enough for Joe and recommended by Jocko then I’m all in with Origin and best of all “American” made.

You guys can't come out saying you make "the best American work boot" when brands like Nick's, Whites, and Red Wing exist. They're nice boots, but far from "the best."

Today, I just ordered a pair of the Origin Black Work Boots . I would recommend adding Kilties to your website as a sale option with Made In USA leather. I will make my own here once the boots arrive. I have a pair of the 6 inch Original Origins. I added a tongue protector (Kiltie) to the boot and it actually made it fit better as it snugged it up around my ankle.

My Father came from Mexico to live the American Dream in New York, my dad built and designed machines in the 60s for Brooklyn Shoe Machine company. All my youth I was around leather, seeing this company making Real boots gives me goosebumps. Buying a pair for sure.

America needs more American made boots. I’ve been wearing Danner’s for 30+ years and a waterproof option would be a great addition to your boot line. For those of us that work standing on concrete floors all day a wedge/Vibram Christy sole is mandatory as well. Looking forward to seeing your boot line grow with new additions 🍻

I actually bought these boots in August and I'm a carpenter. Haven't even had a full 3 months and they are already falling apart. I spent way to much money on these for the rubber sole of the shoe to be flopping off my boot. Most Redwings would last me for a full year and be trash and it looks like these ain't even get me threw a work year. Don't buy these for work! They would be a good casual boot and that's it

Great video! But for the price, you should be using a full veg tan leather footbed (i.e. lasting board, insole, etc.) Stick a high quality Ortholite replaceable insole in the boot for comfort, like White's and Danner's, and call it a day.

We stay away from Chippewa boots because of the pressed paper insole/footbed. There is a video of a guy tearing a part a pair to expose the pressed paper and Rose Anvil has a huge following of him sawing boots in half to expose what is inside. The change over to leather would be easy since your boots are Blake stitched, so please consider.

No need for a Rose Anvil “cut the boot in half” review - we can see the materials right here! I applaud Origin’s transparency. Cool boots for sure. However, other than the leather mid-sole, I don’t see how these are better than Made in the USA Thorogood or Carolina work boots that cost a lot less money. I’m glad to see another quality boot maker in the US, but Jocko should really cool it on the “we’re the only ones bringing footwear manufacturing back to America” marketing stuff.

There are several other boot companies that make boots in the USA... Nick's, Whites, (most) Red Wings, Wolverine, Thorogood... I mean, I'm glad that you're making boots in the USA but it's not really that uncommon at the price range you're in.

At 4:18, it looks like the bottom sole of the boot is just glued on. No Stitching. Looks like the mid sole may be stitched on and then the bottom sole is glued on. On heavy duty boots, stitched sole is really a big plus. If bottom sole is just glued on, I would not see this as a heavy-duty work boot.

going on 9 weeks since my built boot order... taking longer than the 4-7 weeks I was originally told. I'll call them this week for an update.

I just received my pair of the six inch version of these boots. Seems like everyday I wear them they look better. I'll have to update this comment in a few months to give a better review. So far I'm very satisfied.

Origin the price is a little steep and I agree we need to rebuild our society given what we allowed to happen and participated in to develop relationships it's gunna be a hard sale so here's my deal I'm going to look in to your boots ... My thing is my job isn't to build it isn't to construct it's to prove no matter how great you are how skilled you may be at something you'll have an army of litigators chomping at the bit for what you earned and your going to have to start fresh and remain under valued because of their actions I saw something in my cell that made alot of sense regarding any business..... Alot of really nice lier's.... I appreciate America made I appreciate the lineage in you craftsman and women I'm excited to place a few orders within the industry And going to leave you with this there's alot of success made off of problems.. weather it's a situation or a person it takes alot to make them and repair them Good luck

My biggest problem with lace up boots is I work in mud I want my feet dry. My favorite boot right now is a Carhartt wellington pull on. I drive trucks railroad steel mills chemical plants trailer drop lots are NASTY places. I would love to wear an American made boot that's like the Carhartt.

I'm not American. But I know there's still demands for US made products. If you ask any non Americans what would they prefer "Chinese Made? Dominican Republic Made? Vietnam Made or USA made? They would answer American made. This is what corporate don't get, yes it's cheaper to make in foreign but as long as there's America, there will be demand for American made products. Call it marketing scheme or whatever. It's like in Asia, there's high demand for Made in Japan products no matter the cost because it's well known for quality even though there's alternative like Korea, India, China etc. My parents would always say buy Japanese for quality, Chinese for temporary.
