Hi, everyone! Raquel here to share our family's Shavuot (Pentecost) celebration this year!! We had such a memorable and meaningful Shavuot, and I hope that this video blesses you and gives you some insight into our celebration. Of course, I didn't record absolutely everything we sang and said and read in Scripture, but I hope this gives you an idea.
So you don't feel deceived, let me be upfront about something: my family and I redid our at home Shavuot siddur just for you guys. I was nursing throughout the entire original welcoming Shavuot, and we also had guests over. What footage I did get, I ended up getting them in (which I didn't want for their privacy). So! Sunday evening, my family and I did the siddur again just for you guys. Haha We had fun both times! haha Thanks for your understanding!
DOWNLOAD my family’s appointed times booklets!! I’m adding more, as I can format them appropriately. Www.Etsy.com/shop/WomenLivingTorah
Deuteronomy 16:9-12
Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do -- these statutes.

As a follower of Jesus, I read the Old Testament and wonder why we don’t keep the feasts God commanded. I lay awake and ponder about how much we don’t understand because we aren’t commemorating. We are missing out but I don’t think I knew anyone who celebrates The Passover and Pentecost ritualistically and with the reading of these scriptures. I loved the song you were singing. I pray for a deeper level of living out my faith in accordance with what God our Father has commanded long ago, especially the commands and traditions that Jesus affirmed and celebrated and didn’t confirm as man-made traditions.

Thank you! It was a great celebration of God's Word and Spirit!!! The video can't show all the 'little' things- like Abigail's carefulness to make all our table decorations 'just so' or Malachi's singing praises to God long after the singing is all done. I'm so thankful for these feasts days, which not only teach ME spiritual concepts but teach my children in a very tangible way. I think God knows we're all 'little children' and need some concreteness to learn. ☺

I'm so delighted to hear our celebration was inspirational- or at the least, built your excitement for your own celebration! Happy Shavuot, Lindsey! Whatever calendar differences we may have now, one day, we'll celebrate together!!! (And doesn't matter to me what that calendar is called, how crazy it seems, or if it matches what I do now!) ♥ ♥ Thank you for sharing such sweet thoughts. I pray your Shavuot is full of the Spirit and Word of God!

It was just one song- Psalm 92 ‘It is Good,’ which is ‘a song for the Sabbath.’ All the lyrics are sung in this video, but in between each verse is the ‘lai lai lai’ you hear only a few times (due to editing). Happy Shavuot!!
@messianichebrewshawnkawcak1550
And the Exodus is a pattern of salvation, hence 1 Corinthians 10 and Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. Yeshua leads us out of spiritual Egypt. The ketubah is signed and he goes to prepare a place for us following the Jewish wedding with his Return at Yom teruah /trumpets (the awakening blast), ten days of awe and wedding at Yom Kippur and celebration of the wedding at Sukkot. A beautiful picture.

I’m so thankful He died for our sins! Shavuot is all about righteousness! The giving of God’s Instructions on righteousness, the giving of the Spirit which enables us to walk in His righteousness, and the hope of being part of the latter first fruits of the resurrection of the righteous!! Yeshua/Jesus is the first fruits of the dead, according to 1 Corinthians 15, and we will be resurrected as the latter first fruits at His second coming in Revelation 20! This holy day is incredible!! Why are you not allowed to wear your hair down and styled, colorful fabrics and some make up? Is there scripture you believe supports this?
@WomenLivingTorah
@WomenLivingTorah Год назад
I do wear my hair down, though rarely, simply because it’s very long, and it’s more useful for my lifestyle for it to be styled in an updo. In several videos, you will also see me wearing a braid down, too. 😊 I do wear colorful fabrics, and in this video alone, I am wearing purple at the beginning/end and a blue and white floral shirt in the middle. Other videos show different fabrics, as well. Although- just due to personal preferences I don’t usually wear loud fabrics. So not sure where you’re getting the assumption that I don’t. 🤷‍♀️ You are correct that I do not wear makeup- and never have. It’s literally been THE BEST THING for my self image and confidence! Especially having gone through teenage/adult acne without it! I am very much against makeup philosophically and personally, but Scripturally, there are only two verses I am familiar with that talk about ‘painting’ oneself. They are BOTH in a negative context. (Jezebel, and I believe a harlot in the prophets- don’t remember the second reference off the top of my head). So I have never made a hard stance Biblically that makeup is bad or a ‘sin,’ or anything. That’s between a woman and the Lord. I just personally see very bad fruit from makeup and the negative affects on women generally speaking (and obviously, there are different levels of makeup wearing- from barely there to completely changing the shape and appearance of the face, which I consider deception), and I personally want nothing to do with it for me or my girls. 😊 Hope that makes sense! 😊 Thanks for the questions!

I'm so filled with the spirit that I dream of all of us at the wedding banquet, children and all, in our Ball gowns and attire. Everybody's dancing and spinning and laughing!!! What are we supposed to do? How do we celebrate the Holy Spirit during Pentecost? I'm excited 😊

Shavuot is a pilgrimage feast ‘chag’ to Jerusalem and the temple for specific sacrifices. One of the commandments is that leavened bread be brought out of habitations (of a particular quantity) to be waved by the priests before YHVH. We are commanded to rejoice with, basically, everyone! And it is a Sabbath and holy convocation, or public reading of Scripture. Obviously, only these latter three commands can be done today: rejoice with everyone, keep as a Sabbath, gather in holy convocation. Judaism has incorporated a lot of traditions into the day, which include eating dairy products, decorating with plants, and studying Torah all night. Our family has a special meal the night that begins Shavuot, and we sing songs and read through little booklets I’ve made (mostly Scripture) to explain what the day is all about. (I have a video flip through of exactly what’s in these booklets in the Shavuot playlist!) The next day, we gather together with other Believers for a feast and to read Scripture together. With just my family, on the day of, I also like to read from Deuteronomy 26 about the land of milk & honey and make milkshakes/smoothies as a special treat! Again, only the 3 commands to rejoice, keep the day as a Sabbath, and to have a public reading of Scripture are requirements we can do today. 😊 We read Scriptures about the giving of Torah and about the giving of the Spirit! Great question!! Blessings with your first celebration!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I just coming closer to Yahweh and Yehshua so I'm learning a lot about the importance of Torah and how it is so important. My new family here didn't really understand Yehshua. The boys are 8 years and 11 years. We night time thanks to Yahweh. I'm easing em into understanding cuz I don't want them to "buck" being loving about my teaching. When your mean or forceful in teaching about Yehshua the young can be turned off to it. So any ideas about what more I can do to help teach my step sons the Torah and holidays will help. Thank you for this video. I just had to sub.

That was an extremely beautiful celebration of the Shavuot! Peace and love to one and all from our Heavenly Father, God, Aheyeh, (which means, I Am, in the ancient Hebrew language) through His Son, our Savior, Yehsheyeh, (which means, Savior, in the ancient Hebrew language)!!!❤❤❤
@WomenLivingTorah
@WomenLivingTorah Год назад
Thank you! 😊 So an interesting note on Aheyeh is that the Most High calls Himself ‘I Am,’ but He tells Moses to call Him YHVH, which means ‘He Is.’ It’s the same Name, essentially, but a different conjugation of it, which changes depending on who is saying the Name. YHVH can call Himself ‘I Am,’ but we say of Him ‘He Is.’ Something interesting I thought I’d share!! Shalom!! ❤️ ❤️

So you eat the two loaves of bread as the offering to God? Or are those for him?
@WomenLivingTorah
@WomenLivingTorah 4 года назад
Thank you for the question. To be clear, I do not offer the bread loaves, wave them, or in any way claim that they are the wave offering which God commands in Leviticus 23:16-17. I simply make two loaves of bread in remembrance of this commandment which I cannot fulfill. We do eat them because they are simply an object lesson, and not the actual commanded loaves themselves. My understanding is that the priests would eat these loaves. Leviticus 23:20 The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yahweh, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Yahweh *for the priest.*

Hm, not sure why it brought you to download an app... that’s just the Etsy link. Here’s the browser link I copied and pasted. 😃 www.etsy.com/listing/1000317478/messianic-shavuot-siddur-booklet?ref=shop_home_feat_1

Your in violation of torah standards by mixing your idolatry cult with G-d's high holy days.

I do not see that whatsoever, and that would never be my intention. If you have a specific example, that would be more helpful for me to examine. Thank you and blessings this Shavuot!

@@WomenLivingTorah Violation pertaining to idolatry , if you have done your diligence concerning Christianity, then you should know G-d never gave such a book.

If you are referring to the belief of the trinity, I am not of that understanding. I fully believe YHVH is One and that the Apostolic Writings support this fact, as well. Shalom. 😊

Or perhaps you are speaking particularly to the understanding that the Apostolic Writings are Scripture...? (Sorry, it’s difficult to know your exact meaning when it’s not explicitly stated.)

@@WomenLivingTorah All of the new testament literature is a fraud, never given by the creator of the universe, this statement is not difficult to understand.

Unless you’re Jewish you shouldn’t be celebrating this and co opting another ethnicities religious holiday. Frankly as a Jew it’s disrespectful and something that American Christian’s do wayyyyy to often when it comes to Jewish holidays!

We celebrate the appointed times and feasts of the God we follow and serve! They are not ‘Jewish feasts,’ but the Lord’s! Also, it is interesting because I have several Jewish viewers, and they are not offended by it at all! I have had several orthodox ladies comment that they appreciate my observance and respect for the Lord’s feasts! In any case, I am not a Jew nor pretend to be. I am a follower of the Most High YHVH, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob- the same God as the Jews, and so there is similarity between my faith and the Jewish faith. But we’re very different. 😉 This is my lifestyle and my faith; it’s not up for debate. 😊
