This remains one of my favourite ever football videos. Thanks for putting it back up. Anytime I feel bad about our 'roos, I watch this, the ignition of an awesome rivalry with the ever wonderful Japan, the reward for enduring the 32 years of pain, the revelry of a huge raft of firsts for our country at the World Cup, and most of all the most perfect example of how I reckon our 'Roos should play at this level - fight for the whole 90 minutes. I remember my family had a bet while watching this. We all chipped in 5 bucks - my dad bet on a Japan win, I bet on the draw and my mum on the Aussie win. I was celebrating for 4 minutes but ended up being glad I lost.

We Australians actually have our own national version of Football where we kick the ball unlike the Americans who call it 'Football' but throw it with their hands.

The best day of my life was seeing Australia beat Uruguay to qualify for the World Cup at Fed Square in Melbourne. The most euphoric I have felt. Damn I miss those memories!

I'll never forget watching that at about 3 in the morning, nearly falling asleep, a free kick I think a little bit eirlier got me a bit more awake but I kid you not, as they were going for that throw in I thought "Wouldnt it be funny if the keeper dropped the ball" well he didnt get near it did he. But that second goal was something special. At first I didnt know wheather they had scored or not becasue of the rebound it did. Aloisi is fantastic too.
I was lucky enough to be at the game and I must say that was the greatest 7 minutes of my life. I remember eating a bratwurst and being very depressed at half time, that all changed because of Timmy Cahill. What an effort to make the second round when no one else gave us a chance!!!!

@Mrdreamera, in Brazil all athletes use green and yellow... predominatly... but, the colors of all sports and national flag are: green (symbolizes flora), yellow (symbolizes gold and rich soil or earth), white (the states of Federation similar to stars in the real sky) and blue (the sky)... :) It's interesting...
