HOW WE DECORATED OUR ENGLISH COUNTRY BEDROOM// Happy Tuesday everyone, We are beyond thrilled to finally share our (almost) finished master bedroom and hope you like it! We start by making the bed super cosy and comfortable, then hang our curtains, pictures (buying antiques has become a huge part in our lives) and so much more. It was so much fun to create this dreamy room which suits the character and vibe of the whole house. We wanted to create in an English traditional style and used many English fabrics. None of the products mentioned was sponsored but we thought we would share and mention the things we bought in case you're planning something new or a makeover and are looking for some inspiration. I love how you two, together, carefully, thoughtfully, hunt for and select each item that you buy or find as a special treasure for your home. You two create "heirloom" rooms, filled lovingly with your personalities. You dont let a stranger "professional decorator" come in and dictate the latest styles or tastes of others....you create a truely individual home, not a fake magazine photo shoot look-a-like. I was a hour from home when I got the notification of your new upload! I couldn't wait to come straight home, make a pot of Hazelnut coffee and enjoy! I must say, I don't see it often but that is a perfectly made bed ! Absolutely inviting, romantic and in true Kirsten style.....classic! Watching you make the bed I remembered the way we make the bed for newly weds here in Canada. The bottom sheet is folded in the middle and brought to the top. The rest of the sheets and blankets are put in the right way. When the newly weds go to bed they will not notice the bottom sheet, so they find that their feet will not go to the bottom. This was called a French made bed. Oolala ❤

Your bedroom is already gorgeous! You have an eye for what works. It has a serene "stepping back in time" feel to it, and it must be so nice waking up to the sunlight coming in through the windows. To cudowne, że udało się Wam kiedyś odnaleźć wsrod tysięcy mijanych ludzi. Tak bardzo pasujecie do siebie... ta sama wrażliwość, upodobania, zainteresowania. Naprawdę nie jest tak łatwo znaleźć "bratnią duszę", nie zgubić jej i stworzyć zgodny związek. A Wasz dom jest idealnym dopełnieniem Waszego związku bo tworzycie go razem. Lubię oglądać Wasze filmy gdyż mam podobne upodobania. Lubię przedmioty, ubiory i architekturę XIX wieku i sama trochę kolekcjonuję piękne, stare przedmioty. Wasze filmy są też inspiracją dla mnie. Love the room. Everything you to do is just exquisite. Sometime in the future when you don’t need those fabric samples, you should put them all together in a small patchwork quilt. You have lovely style. I hadn’t come across the use of a flat sheet with a duvet before (we don’t visit hotels much). We just have a duvet most of the year, but in the summer we change to a flat sheet with a thin coloured blanket and topped with a white crochet bed cover that my mother in law made by hand. It’s a king size bed, so goodness knows how long it took her. A real labour of love, I think. She is no longer with us, so it’s a very personal piece of furnishing as well as being beautiful. We can vary the layers depending on how hot it is. Recently we’ve been sleeping with the blanket and bed cover thrown back as it has been so hot.
