Thank you! I enjoyed learning and doing PCR and PAGE (Poker Face 12" if memory serves me) for hepatoblastoma and my supervisor was just beginning to teach me DNA extraction when his reapplication for funding didn't materialize. This was outside his profession as a hospital pathologist. Amazing stuff. Great assignment.
YES THAT'S HOW YOU DID IT.....Didn't YOU!!! Title 10 and Title 32 Article 108 (The REASON my PARENTS signed me UP instead of MYSELF) Are military personnel property of the US government? The term military property refers to all property, real or personal, owned, held, or used by a branch of the United States armed forces. This is not to be confused with Government property. While all military property is Government property, not all Government property is military property. The Armed Forces Repository of Specimen Samples for the Identification of Remains (AFRSSIR) maintains a DNA reference specimen collection for all active duty and reserve service members and an automated database to assist in their retrieval for human remains identification.
THAT WAS an ABOMINABLE ACT.......And very EVIL!!! WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT......AND EVERYBODY thought I VOLUNTARILY agreed to participate in this experiment. THE ONLY REASON it dawned on me was BECAUSE OF THE UNPROVOKED ATTACKS that made me investigate & do my own research.
I don't know about other reagents but the extraction kit is clearly Nucleon... www.cytivalifesciences.com/en/us/shop/molecular-biology/extraction/genomic-dna/illustra-nucleon-bacc-genomic-dna-extraction-kits-p-04707
There are techniques to evaluate the DNA prior to sending out for sequencing. I don’t think any lab would be willing to send out something for sequencing without knowing for certain what is in the sample.
