I worked 10+ years overseas but now back I'm working in Philippines. The work culture here is better and more professional. The compensation package is good too, such as Health (HMO), Bonus, 13th Month etc. uuhm may be content about daily life as foreigners working in Philippines. Typical working environment in Philippines is like treating colleagues like family, however; the drawback in that is familiarity with each other that results to gossips 😅
And that's what I don't like. Not all workmates are friends. Some are just simply workmates. Just get promoted & promoted, you don't have to deal with those people anymore. They have no choice but to look up to you.
I don’t blame Filipinos for being jealous because why give the foreighners more attentions than us specially it’s our country the same thing here in the US a lot of Hispanics are sticking to their own ang give we Filipinos a hard time.
Congratz Sol and Luna on finding a new job and on your new role in the BPO industry. Yes, we understand that you will no longer have more videos, and that's okay. Tip on your new role: 1. Don't worry about learning Tagalog right away. Your office mate will talk to you in English or Spanish since you will be assigned to the Spanish department. 2. During training, take good care of your attendance and enjoy. You will miss it once you're on the production floor. 3. Don't worry too much about work politics and other negative issues you might have read or heard about. I can guarantee you that your fellow agents (batch mates/teammates) will treat you well and they will be your best buddies. Especially the management team, they will do everything in their power to help you excel in your role. 4. I'm not sure if your training period is also during the graveyard shift but be ready with your coffee mugs, hehehe you'll know what I mean when you get there. 5. Finally, HAVE FUN and ENJOY don't take it too seriously coz it will drain you. I wanna share these 3 words that my manager taught me: LEARN, LIVE, and LOVE. LEARN the process- this will emerge you into the role that you'll be doing in the company. LIVE with what you currently have - this will help you feel contented and will also motivate you to always be at your best. LOVE your role and the people around you - this is the secret of those people who stays in the company for many many years. Lass, as a Filipino and if you want to gain true friends in work place, I wish to give you a Piece of advice, stay away from "Marites" don't entertain gossips. If you cannot say anything good about others unless positive. Just avoid side comments. For it might be misconstrued by others....Pray always and I wish you all the best..
I'm working in a BPO industry for more than 10 years. I would say working environment is pretty much the same in all call center companies. You'll experience easy to hard or toxic accounts. But the best advise is that just try to focus on your job, avoid gossips and stay friendly and get along with your workmates😊

Spanish CSRs earn 2x to 3x more than the locals. I was help desk support for years. We support employees not consumers: password/access issues, software/apps and hardware issues.

Actually even if a Dominican marries a Filipino cannot have permanent residency because that's for a specific list of countries and we are not on the list. This happened to our friend Ricardo. He married a Filipina and he could only get temporary resident visa, not permanent.

No sugarcoating, Just be careful in mingling people,first for those guys who already have partners in life,it's deadly literally.Secondly be careful on the outings or team building,most of the time it is just a front but main reason for those is to drink liquor and some will take advantage of you and they will gossip about you,and third be careful about the people from LGBTQ+ they are competitive and they will do everything to get a position, most of the times they are the ones that add toxicity to the environment.There's no toxic accounts only toxic people.

When it comes to LGBTQ I am part of it so I know everything, just be civil to them, in my experience they're the most toxic ones.

just the other day I was scrolling through YT thinking whats new with these girls why haven't i seen them on my recommended in a while. now i understand you were busy with job hunting 😊. im not sure if its a bpo company youre working for but congrats all the same! i have worked in a multilingual helpdesk acct before and boy i missed Fridays where we regularly being potluck food. i got to enjoy authentic food across Asia and the Mediterranean. always keep a blanket or poncho or thick scarves in your locker together with hygiene and basic makeup kits, crackers or any snacks, feminine pads or equivalent. 7-11, ministop and familymart will be your usual stops 😅 and always good to have spill proof mugs or tumblers, i interchange mine weekly. and oh yeah i always have an assortment of 3-in-1 coffee sachets 😅 tho i prefer brewed but you never know when you crave for it

You can also inquire to 1Z Entertainment. But the choice will always be yours. Anyway, I'm happy for you guys getting a job. How is it like working in an office? Well it's fun especially if you all have surprising incentives, health care and comfortable sleeping/smoking areas. But when it turned out to be a very toxic work place I choose to resign because I consider my mental health first since I'm not longer happy. But this only happens to me twice. LOL.
