@@adamcollins9777 I'm just being blunt here mate I love these guys channel don't think they need the third. Typically podcasts have a host a guest and the person in the corner. They have 2 hosts the potential for a guest and then then little voice in the corner piping in every few minutes
I love the interaction between the 3 of you - the knowing smiles and glances, the laughs and being willing to mention scripting things and gaffes. I normally listen to the podcast, but watching this and seeing how much you enjoy the job is a delight!
This podcast is really a tale of three people and like many people I love the interaction with Emily. You guys are an amazing team who obviously get on well together. It is more than that - it is the respect shown between all of you. Love it. Well done all, agree with those who say more of Emily.
You guys need to get a Giant TCR in to ride just to try it once. It really is a tremendous bike and one of the older generations is one of my favorite road frames ever after the mid 2010s Supersix Evo.
Keep the Emily-cam! It is great to have more of her insight on the podcast and especially to give her a camera is super important! Love to see you guys continue to improve the podcast, its's absolutely inspiring.
I’m not as surprised as a lot of others regarding how well Emily enhanced the video. Way back, in Earlier Francis Cade/Atticus days. Emily always came over well. My two penny worth. Also, the product placement of the Coke Zero must result in at least some free beverage. (RU-vid version of the podcast)
My piece of advice regarding packing a bike. Go to your local hardware store, buy a plumbing/PVC/hard tube, cut it to the size of your fork and chainstay, pass through the axle or quick release. That way your bike won't compress and you will save a few money instead of buying the fancy "cycling specific" products
As a newb bike-packer a video on bike transporting (from someone who has done it more than once) would be pretty handy. Most of the YT videos on the subject tend to be from the angle of “I flew with my bike and it didn't turn up” which isn't very helpful. Theres lots options, bikebox (expensive?) / cardboard box (is it safe enough?) / bike shipper (do they actually work?) but which makes sense for a one off trip to Spain (for example)?
It actually depends how ChatGPT receives commands and instructions, if the scammer actually was feeding the AI a ton of information like Francis is a British RU-vidr, you feed the AI your height your accent your way of speaking. The scammer can actually make a very believable impersonation of you. IMO it's a very extensive thing to do, and also a lot of research to be done and fed to the Ai, ChatGPT does make some grammatical mistakes. As a person who uses ChatGPT too much, It's possible but not that worth the time and effort tbh, but yeah, it's still a possible thing to do.
Completely agree with this, there is another cycling related channel that used ChatGPT to script the video and they showed the AI generated version and the version they did themselves, this is all possible.
I can't believe I'm watching a cycling channel episode that has so much intrigue and drama going on -- real cloak and dagger stuff here! And, I wanted to watch it because the first episode got me hooked. This scammer (who, or WHAT they are) created some bike content I never expected I'd be into lol.
By the looks of the title you should change the name to Cade media Scam catchers 😂 DCI Cade and DI Jimmy saving the RU-vid world from scammers! Emily on camera makes watching the screen much prettier and easier on the eye 😊
The other thing about Liv in the Giant conversation is that it's possibly a marketing benefit to help appeal to the female market, hence getting more women on bikes. Even if that's paint jobs that are statistically more appealing to women. Under-rated!
Giant is one of the few manufacturers that makes sports bikes with a relatively high weight capacity. E.g. the aluminum Revolt gravel bike has a max. load of 150 kg, which is great for heavier riders. Therefore I think they are underrated.
My first Giant was a new 1988 or 1989 Track, MTB. I wanted to later become a Giant product manager, figure out all the parts and such. 20 years later, I heard from a friend that Gary Fisher (the man, not the company necessarily) wanted me as a product manager. I figured I didn't want to live in the US and didn't even remind of of that mention. Figured he was just being polite (or really, really honest) about his new friend's friend :)
When they brought up the broken bike, they may have used that as an out but then decided later to go through with the scam. That could be the reason for the delay between when they sent that email and the one after.
FYI there are add-ons for chat GPT where you can make it watch vids/ read scripts then generate from there. You can also ask it to insert common or/and random spelling errors. I doubt that's how they've gone it but it's possible to train it or any localised trainer generator.
I still say U should have got the Porch Pirate Catcher Dud involved. I feel like he would have been game & then u'd have gotten video gold of the unboxing.
Currently have 4x bikes made (I believe) by Giant, 3 with a Giant badge on one with another brand, three of them are great, one of the Giant branded ones is sometimes great and sometimes just OK, the big problem I have with Giant branded bikes is they sometimes make poor choices when designing up to include the latest tech while designing down to a price.
The face behind "the voice" certainly not "underwhelming" Emily. Next scammer gets a similar bike sized parcel, full of cauliflower stalks and rank savoy cabbage !
Bike racing. Underrated. Everyone I know owns a bike, and rides it, at least every now and then. They "may" watch the TDF, but couldn't name more than three teams, if that many. The vast majority of people I know do not, and have never played American football, but they absolutely watch hours and hours of it a week... they don't own a football, but they do own an Officially Licensed Jersey($150-$350 each) of their favorite player on their favorite team. Patrick Mahomes is the highest paid NFL player at $45million a year. Team Ineos' entire team budget is $55million a year. NFL, College Football, High School Football and the children's leagues create CTE(Chronic traumatic encephalopathy).
Giant bikes are fantastic. How can you possibly comment with no experience. The only problem with giant bikes is the snobby elitism in the bike industry. They aren’t seen as one of the Popular or “cool” brands. They are excellent value for money compared to the likes of specialized or trek. Maybe do your research before making a feature
@cademedia I recently purchased a poseidon gravel bike and it came in a box with a TV on it. the company said once they switched to boxes with a tv on it, their damage claims & returns decreased significantly
I picture this being a group of four or five young people sitting around a laptop bouncing ideas off each other for the emails and some of them getting nervous that it might actually work and realizing this is fraud and if it works it becomes theft and trying to end it and a couple of them saying screw it let's go for it.
If this happens again, you need to try to team up with the guy that does the high end glitter bombs for some joint content. It would be an amazing collab.
I associate I scammed a scammer content with purely entertainment channels, while I associate your channel with educational content. I'm not sure how much crossover there is.
AI can be directed to sites to ingest your photos and content about you and then ask it to write an email based on your style. And non public AI can do more. But much like Google search’s how good it works has to do with asking it in the right way.
This comes out when I asked chatgpt about cade media. "As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, I don't have specific information about "Cade Media." It's possible that there have been developments or changes since then. Can you provide more context or details about Cade Media?"
