As a Leukemia survivor, I thank you for raising so much money for LLS. 👍 I spent six weeks this summer traveling around Turkiye. You will love it.

So excited to hear that you are doing the Camino de Santiago-Frances. Julio and I are full time travelers spending 6-7 months each year in the EU and UK. We cycled the Camino from Pamplona to Santiago in October 2022. We are fortunate to be able to purchase a minivan in Barcelona (Julio's brother is Spanish citizen) and we bought two bikes (my bike is an Ebike). Right now we are in southwest France housesitting for a British couple, (our 12th house sitting gig in 2024) We bike every day on the quiet country roads in this area. You will find that you might need to stick to the paved roads when cycling the Camino. There are so many walkers that it is tough to ride your bike on the physical walking paths. Any more questions on our Camino adventure, let me know.

I love this video soooo... much! First, It's great that you are training for your "vacation" ride. Since we launched nomadically and I stopped doing spin class weekly, now when I get on a bike I really feel the pressure on my butt - never was an issue when I was on the bike regularly. I just booked a ride across the Florida Keys in 2025 and we will need to get on the bike prior, just to ensure we are comfortable when we are doing our fun ride. I'm soooo... excited about the bike/boat island hopping you are doing in Turkiye. I want to do this! Totally gonna check this out. And, love that you are hiking, biking, hiking the Camino. Can't wait to hear how that goes. Great idea! Love the way you travel. Thanks for sharing these great ideas.

Guys, great idea to break up Camino with walking/cycling - -We have done the Frances 2x cycling from end to end - only 2-3 really hard mountain days, the rest is somewhat easy , just dont overdo the milage - stop often, eat a lot, talk to others, enjoy the experience. We also cycled the Norte ( not as many people) but some nice sites.

Oh! Good to know. Thank you. Is the bike route the same as the hiking route?

Good to see you are doing the blue cruise / gulet yacht trip in Turkey. I did mine from Fethiye to Kas / Olympus. Best part of the 3 month trip. I would spend 90 days in Schengen then go to Romania, Bulgaria or Serbia where you automatically get another 90 days. Then returned to Schengen after 90 more days. Greetings from Brisbane. I've been to Denver. But preferred Colorado Springs / Garden of the Gods and Durango / Mesa Verde. Wish I'd known about Maroon Bells before I left. Vilnius and Tallinn are also wonderful Baltic towns. You'd love cycling around Nida on the Curonian Spit south of Klaipeda.

@@EatWalkLearn When I was in Nida I hired a bike from my guesthouse for a few Euro. I took my bike up to the giant sandhill to peer into Kaliningrad Oblast in Russia. Then I cycled over to the Baltic Sea. Had the entire beach to myself but it was October 2014. Lithuania is just next door to Latvia. Don't miss the House of the Blackheads in Riga if you're still there. Blue hour gives nice photos of it.

Our travels are all about the next trail. We have traveled with tours but use their itineraries to make our own adventures. We have been cycling rails trails in Canada and Eastern USA. Have fun.

Thank you. Great tips! Now that we're cycle-fit, we're thinking more about future biking locations.

You guys are awesome. Something that might help you is uploading in at least 1080p. I think the algorithm is more favorable for "high quality video".
