Greetings!
In this video we tell you something about our decisions about the Dark Angels army.
We hope that the hard work put into making the video was worth it.

The paints we used on these models:
1. Paynes Grey
2.Blue Violet
3.Phtalo Green + Yellow Green
4.Then add a little more yellow green to phtalo green
5. The brightest points with Yellow Green + white
6.Diluted Phtalo green in the shadows
7. Diluted paynes grey in the darker shadows
The paints are called: Golden So Flat

I fell in love with this paint scheme! Do you mind sharing the paint dilution ratio (and which thinner did you use) for the airbrush? Thank you!

for Golden SoFlat I usually dilute 60% water 40% paint or 50/50. Sometime I use vallejo thinner. In case of using paints as a hue / soft shade the water to paint ratio is much higher, let say 80/20.

Yes, but I am not sure where they come from - they were 3d printed for sure. I found 90% of usefull bits on Cults3d and print them ourselves.

Mainly Golden so flat phtalo green and turquis. Also Payn's Grey, raw umber, blue violet with lower proportions

Most interesting colors to make the look rather unique is adding a phtalo blue (Golden SoFlat) (intensive cold blue shade) to the mix, especially in shadows, as well as using red blue violet (Golden SoFlat) as first basecoated later as well some glaze in the shadows. Main mix are yellow green and phtalo green (mixed with various proportions (all from Golden SoFlat line), but I think that many greens would be fine, and what helps a lot is adding blue violet / phtalo blue to the mix.

I think we will make some seperate instruction on the future. The main hint is to achieve cold hue by adding cold tone paints into the mix - mainly raw umber (cold dark brown) and Payn's Grey (cold dark blue grey). Adding a small amount to normal bone like colors will help make It 'cold'.

We designed bases ourselves and casted. I think they will be available as a product sooner or later but they need to be tested before

How did you do the color scheme, it looks like grey and maybe glazed red in the recesses.

@@codemaster6521 1. All the base is basecoated with cadmium red dark (dark red) than airbrush highlights with grey / raw umber (raw umber is cold dark brown) mix of these paints, rather bright. Last step is to thin down a lot (4:1) payn's grey (very dark cold blue grey) and airbrush It to achieve a glaze effect (sort of soft wash)

Bought the soul forge kit really cheap so I have two sheets of weapon options left but I don’t like the design of the 40k knight but fell in love when I saw the Horus heresy ones

@@knight50in75 scaling is always a process. I scaled up bodies by 10% to be more intimidating. But for some parts (like heads I like to keep smaller scaling).

And where did you get the files for the bodies because I looked for Damsa but didn’t find them
