Wow ! What a woman.... I love staying at home.... don't need to be going somewhere all the time..... been there done that...now time to do just what I want to do and when I want to do it.....
I’m happy staying at home, now that I’m retired. Only places I go are to see my children and grandchildren. I do enjoy a thrift store every now and then.
My dad passed away when my mother was 76. She continued to keep going. When she was 79 she fell and my sister put her in an assisted living facility. Mother didn’t really care for that. She was never much of a ‘people person.’ Then she fell and broke her hip and they moved her to a Nursing Facility after her hip surgery. She was there until June 2022, when the Lord took her home! If she had of lived until August she would’ve been 100 years old!! She saw a lot of changes in her lifetime!! I’m 70, it’s hard for me to get around, I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine), but I’ll continue to go until I physically can’t anymore! I love listening and watching “The Whippoorwill Holler” with the Browns!! I have learned a lot from Miss Lori!! They are an awesome couple!! NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS
Dear Miss Lori & Mr. Brown....... Thank you for this very special Valentine video. My beloved will be 97 in April and I'll be 81 in April and he's still my Valentine. We, have come through so much together and time has flown. God is at the heart of our home and we will keep on keeping on. God Bless. Love, Dorothy.
I am an 80 year old twice widowed woman and very disabled can't clean my house by myself anymore. I love the Lord with all my heart. I was born in Clarksville Arkansas my family moved to Indiana for work when I was 8 and half years old I started school at Belleville and then we moved to Danville when I was in 2nd grade after moving to Indiana I went to school in 3rd grade and finished school in 1962. I married in 1962 when I was 18 we adopted 2 children and I still live in Elkhart Indiana. I am expecting my first great great granddaughter in May. We took our vacations in Arkansas every year and loved hanging out with my cousins. Haven't been there since 2005. I miss Arkansas
Dorothy keep on keeping on!! Bless your Heart ❤️. I love your testimony. I am a Senior citizen who depends on nobody BUT GOD!!!! He has been so good to me and my 5 children. Down through the years!!!
@@WhippoorwillHoller. That was a cute video !! Hope y’all have enjoyed your package you got from us the other day 😊 I look forward to traveling with yall It’s the only way I’ll get to get off this farm for a bit ! 😂
We love you too. I’ve been a widow after a 30 year marriage, and your right it’s not all a bed of roses, but I’ve got beautiful memories, and your channel has given me a lot of joy during my transition to being alone.
I SOOOOO enjoyed this video. My husband and I have been married now for 56 years. Yes, it takes alot of love, dedication and compromise. Putting God first in any relationship should always be number one.
You all hit the nail on the head when you were talking about living when you were younger. You, like all the rest of us, "LIVED WITHIN OUR MEANS!" We didn't try living a champagne life style on a beer (or sweet tea) budget! We learned early how to stretch food to feed an entire family for a couple of days. I made up new recipes with what was left in the cupboard to make meals, but not enough to feed a family of 4 for a hearty meal. I wish the younger generation would watch and really really listen to what you all are saying. May God continue to Bless and Protect you ALL always!
After 41 years of being married, I lost my husband to cancer. It was the biggest transition of my life. Then in 2020 I lost my youngest son to Covid. Life without them have been a big challenge and I miss them terribly.
God knew the two of you were meant to be together forever! ❤ You’re a beautiful example of true love and marriage! ❤ You compliment each other so very well! ❤
I taught my children the importance of relationship with the lord, family values and work ethics. I see so many people my children’s age (30,33 & 36) that were not taught any of it. It breaks my heart. I’ve been blessed to be with my grandchildren teaching them too.
I am so fortunate. I live a very little life, now, in a very little place. I love my life and love where I live! Amen!❤ Thank you, for being yourselves!
Putting God first and each spouse caring for the needs of the other always makes a marriage run smoother. The Bible says that God, the husband, and his wife are a three fold cord. One that can not be broken. Much love to both of you!
I really enjoyed hanging out with Mr. & Mrs. Brown this evening. I love the way you met, got married, and have stayed together all these years. Wishing you many more years of love, health, and success. ❤
Amen to everything you said about marriage….ONLY by the grace of God we have made it 43years so far ❤️❤️. Through the good ,bad and the ugly we are still best friends😍😍
God bless you both! My husband and I have been married 54 years this coming April. We’ve stuck it out through good times and hard, and there’s still no one I’d rather have spent my life with. We live in the Sierras of California, and we love the way you two love and care for each other.
I really enjoyed your visit. Your story reminds me a lot of mine and my husband’s story. God has blessed us with almost 51 years of marriage. We are now enjoying retirement, too. As you said, a good marriage takes commitment, and putting God first is the key. Thank you for sharing your story.
Putting God first is always a must! Then everything else will fall into place not always going to be easy but a definite peace that surpasses understanding will help sail you through those trying times that’s for certain. Thank you ❤ Have a wonderful Valentines Day!
❤y’all are precious in so many valuable ways. Just love both of you. I hope at 65 I can find a new precious love too. Maybe God will bless me with a good man. I enjoy watching every moment whether talking Bible study or cooking. It’s all wonderful. ! Happy Valentine’s to both of you.praise the Lord.
My wife and I will celebrate our 56 year anniversary in early March. We’ve experienced many of similar things as you have. When we made it to our 50th, I told her that it’s our first 50! We live on 8 acres of rural property and do a lot of gardening, canning, dehydrating and raising chickens. Funny thing is, I worked at a shoe factory while still in high school. I worked as a stock boy at a grocery store also. The summer before I enlisted in the Marine Corps, I had my full time job at the shoe factory, a part time job pumping gas and another part time job making and delivering pizzas using a 56 Chevy 2 door station wagon that had a regular sized kitchen range in the back and a 100# propane tank in a rack mounted on the rear bumper. We’re in our mid 70’s and persevering.
I firmly agree, always put God first and everything else will fall in place but we have to do our part to accomplish what God allows us to have. Love you both. Thank you for the good example.
Happy Valentine's Day to both of y'all. A marriage like yours is hard to find these days. Couples give up so easily instead of fighting for their marriage. You are a blessing to many people. Hugs
God bless you both. What a blessing to be married till death do you part!! Many, many , only stay while it's fun. God bless you both !!!! Congratulations!!!
lost my husband of 50 years last year and I am lost without him. our goal was to stay together to the end but it didn't work out that way. enjoy your life together
Keep your eyes on what each other needs and nit yourself. That's called An Agape Love. His life was an example of that which He taught. Married 50 yrs thus year. Great job guys!!!👏👏👏👏🥰🥰❤️❤️
My husband and I are married 49 years this may 31, raised 4 beautiful daughters on our dairy and beef farm, have 12 blessed grandkids, I turned 68, and hubby is 70, seems like time has just flown by, we are truly blessed and love the lord, all our kids live near us in Michigan, except our youngest, she lives in Florida, home school mom of 5 , husband is a parole officer, and pastor of their church, We are truly blessed 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️😘♥️
Happy Valentine’s Day. You are the sweetest couple; and you are right: put God first and everything else will take care of itself. We didn’t come here for easy because we are here to grow. 😉
Love you both! My Grandparents lived in Hope Arkansas, I spent many summers with them. My Grandmother loved visiting with her neighbor across the road who's name I only knew by "Mrs Brown". She loved to crochet. Thank you for the chat/video. Many Blessings ❤
I love y'all You have brought so much to me: y'all faith, love for family and each other, the recipes and tips and suggestions. I feel that when I watch your videos that I am standing right in the kitchen visiting y'all. When I lived in MS I would visit with family or friends or they would visit me and we stayed in the kitchen just talking and cooking. I do miss that. But you give me feelings and memories to bask in. (just a side not: I was born in Ohio raised all over Cincinnati then eloped to MS and spent time on a chicken farm!!! You talk about culture shock lol 😅😂😅😊) But I learned country cooking and lived there 30 years and now I am back in Ohio, go figure, right? Ms Lori, you are my family in the South come to visit each time we meet. Thank you for just being you, you are very special to me ❤️🥰🤗😘😇😋🙏🙏🙏🙏
I love origin stories! Thank you for sharing. My first vehicle was $300. I can relate. Used furniture, etc. Our home was VA financed and cost the same as many cars do today! God was with us and took care of us through it all!
I am 67 years old and my kids laugh at me today how I live but nothing will ever change with me. I have curtains hanging on my windows that I have had for 30 years and I love them more today then I did back then. I call my home the hand me down home, which is quite lovely, but I have never bought anything new. I refuse to give the creditors my hard earned money and I refuse to drive or buy a new car that loses value the minute you drive it off the lot. I wish sometimes they would take after me and save all that interest money for their retirement. Times are tough right now and they are only get worse, but they can't see that. Granted they have good jobs and work hard but to give it away to live high off the hog. That's a fools game.
I absolutely love you two. Great advice. I retired 2 years ago and my husband retired in 2011 We've been married 34 years and what you are saying about marriage is true. We've had our good and bad times and now we're dealing with my Husband having cancer in a 10 year period he's had cancer 3 times, and if it wasn't for us knowing and trusting our Lord I think we'd loose our minds. I am so very grateful to you both for treating all your subscribers like family. God Bless
What a beautiful legacy you two have to made together what wonderful example to show your followers and grandchildren of what it takes to make a a life together. No better said then putting God first is the ultimate answer. Because without God in our life we have nothing. Give all the glory to God. 🙏🏻💜💛💜
My parents discouraged me strongly about debt. We 60yr olds did not grow up as credit card kids, paid cash for vehicles, and had a house payment. My first job was at a burger joint at 15. I rode a motorcycle to work on a learners permit. So it's amazing how the world has changed.
My parents went through the depression and taught us lessons they learned. Grow food in your garden, don’t spend money you don’t have, keep the Faith, be a good person. I’m still trying. 🥰👍👍

My husband and I are at 43 years together. He's still the one I look forward to seeing when I wake up, and who I enjoy having coffee with every morning. 😊

As kids, we hunted for crawdads, fished for Bluegill and Crappies on hand lines, worked in the garden and thus contributed to the family meals. Faith and family 🥰💕❤️.
Hi Mr Brown and Mrs Lori thank you for sharing everything. I just love watching you both and learning more about you.God bless you both and your families.Happy Valentine to you both.
In March we have been married 43 years. We have 3 sons and a grandson and 2 granddaughters. May God bless your marriage and retirement. Thanks for your you tube channel because I enjoy it so much.
I'm 64 years old & I retired 2 years ago, and you're right, you turn around a few times and here you are. 😊I've been blessed though! God has been so good to me!
Ms. Lori I grew up in Jacinto City, which is just across the port of Houston from “Stinkadena”!!! That’s what we called it as kids. 😂😂 Everyday we would sit in that long, long line at the tunnel to take daddy’s lunch or supper to him. He was a welder on the ships at the ship channel. Boy sitting in that traffic at the tunnel was miserable!! I was was born in ‘59 and daddy did as much as he could to keep wheels rolling under us. They were indeed pieces of junk with no ac or radio but it got us where we needed to go!! It’s always cool to hear someone out in this old world that talks just like you do and grew up just a hop and a skip from where you did!! Now that we’re retired we live just south of Springfield, Mo. I’m really enjoying your video’s that y’all make. Thanks so much for being the God loving souls that you are!! May God bless y’all and keep y’all safe in His arms of love and protection!
I’m 74 and retired twice but still working. I’m missing so much by working but it’s just me and I’ve got to hold things together as long as I can. Divorced at age 50, and making my own way after 34 years together.
Priceless ❤. Married 35 years, 57/59 years old, 3 children and one grand child. Your advice and history should be shared with all married couples. God bless you both and thanks for sharing❤️
Miss Lori and Mr. Brown your love story reflects your Love for Christ and how he has had his hands you and your Family! Watching you today really touched my heart. Happy Valentines.
