Baths bombs have been a popular product for making bath time that little bit more exciting ever since they were first invented. Originally round, bath bombs now come in all shapes, colours and sizes and they have evolved a lot since their first incantations!
Bath bombs are a very popular product within our business and one thing that our customers love is bath bombs with hidden colours that shoot out jets of brightly coloured foam and and colour the bath water. To create these hidden colours, we use embeds. These are brightly coloured, heavily concentrated cubes of citric acid, bicarbonate of soda and (in our case) water soluble dye. These cubes are then hidden inside our bath bombs and when the bath bomb is placed in the bath water they release streams of colour into the bath.
Today we are talking you through how we make our embeds and showing us making a bath of 400. It is a quick, easy process and by using an embed mould we can make 100's of uniformly sized, bath bombs embeds in no time at all.
To create your own embeds, as seen in our bath bomb embed making tutorial, all you need is bicarbonate of soda, citric acid, water soluble dyes or lakes, water and a mould (if you wish to use one). Watch us make our embeds in today's video and tune in to next weeks video to see how we use these embeds to make a floating, rainbow cloud bath bomb!

I have a smaller version of that cada embed mold & I had all but given up on it. I just couldn’t find a recipe that would work. I have watched every embed video & yours is the most helpful! I will try a dryer mix like you use b/c I think that’s my problem. Thx for the time you took to make this video.😊

Looking forward to seeing some bath bomb videos. I still haven’t ventured into bath bomb making, as I live in West Wales where it’s always raining! I’m sure I will eventually get into bath bomb making, but loving the tips which are being squirrelled away in my brain 😅

Thank you Hilary! I have been meaning to make the bath bombs for ages, but something just always seems to get in the way of doing them! I am hoping to have a video done with them this weekend though, so shouldn't be too long until one appears on here!

Have you tried this with natural colorants? I am getting started making bath bombs and want to make products as natural as possible, so no artificial colors or fragrances. Thank you
